Howen Transport INC Jeremy Howen Howen Transport Damaged and did not Deliver RV from Florida to Idaho and will not take responsibility. St Petersburg FL Florida

I purchased a 5th Wheel in Florida and found Howen Transport to deliver it to Idaho around April 20, 2018.  A so called contract was written up to deliver the camper within the next week.  Jeremy Howen went to pick it up from the dealer and I put 50% down $1950 which was paid through the dealer.  After pick up Jeremy said he was having trouble with the payment from the dealership and did not end up getting on the road until around May 4, 2018.  Before Pics were taken and sent to me and he supposedly got insurance on the unit as per DOT. I was able to receive a copy of his License and also have videos from the dealership of the condition of the Camper which was practically new condition, no issues as that is why I purchased it. Jeremy said he would keep in touch along the way. 

When he pulled out he made it about 60 miles and his truck broke down from a fuel pump.  It took him a day to fix that and then get back on the road.  He then made it to Hamilton Alabama but I did not know where he was for a few weeks when finally i insisted on a location.  He said his engine blew so he was stuck there at a repair shop.  All this time you would only receive a text once in a while as he always stated he didnt have service to call.  sometimes you wouldnt get a response for days.  This is the 20th century...A. there are plenty of landlines to call and keep customer updated and B. service isnt usually out for days.  When I found out where he was I called to verify with the shop.  The camper sat at the repair shop while his truck was getting fixed. He would give false hopes of getting back on the road and having it delivered as I needed it in time to move and thought this would only take a few days. Way too many excuses and lack of communication and empty promises led to me finding another transport.  I have all email traffic and pics and Jeremy wanted more money to get it from AL to Idaho and I said I was done it wasnt in the contract.  He was going to have to go home and sell stuff to pay for the rest of his truck before getting on the road. He also stated his health wouldnt allow him to continue witht he drive and he spent time in the ER during that time in AL. 

Jeremy was not to live in or go in the camper but after finding a new transport and them taking photos when they got there as Jeremy left it and went home there were damages. A rear power awning was destroyed and had to be removed to make the rest of the trip. there were scuffs down the side. The Antenna on top was broken off. Inside Jeremy had a dog as there was dog hair everywhere and he had been staying in it. It looked as though he locked the dog up in a room and it tore up the carpet and chewed at the door or scratched its way.  I was missing and still am my bedroom door. The rear bathroom tank was full of s***. There was a hole in the rear bathroom door that had tried to be covered by a mirror.  None of the things wrong happened before he picked it up as I have proof on video. The new transport did not also make any damages and did not stay in it as they did a walk through and took pics.  The new transport had it to me in 2 days!

I contacted Jeremy who denys any of it and makes lots of excuses as to someone else doing it.  I wanted his insurance info and all he has to say is come to Florida and sue him or leave it alone. I have a copy of email sent when i told Jeremy I was hiring someone else to pick it up from him.  I told him he can leave but is still liable for any damages until new transport takes possession to which he agreed but now says someone must have moved it or damaged it.  I have pics of all damage from the before new condidtion to the after damaged condition..... This all has been a nightmare and took a month when I could have had it in 2-3 days witht he other company and it would be in new condition. All I want is for him to give me insurance info so I can have it fixed and pay me back the $888 that is owed from the deposit and was agreed on for the mileage not traveled but nothing..... I have contacted Police on the matter as well. Where are the decent honest people out there who take responsibility for their actions......
