I was contacted by this individual claiming to be an HR representative from birlasoft, technical company. I was contacted through text message and instructed to continue a conversation through yahoo messenger. I was asked several questions pertaining to qualifications for a generously paying position with the company. After being told I passed the assessment questions, I was asked for my banking information for "direct deposit" and my physical address for additional documents. I requested an official company contact number to verify our correspondence before providing more information. The individual could not provide me with anything that I could use to identify his credentials or company standing. I contacted the company he allegedly represented, and they confirmed my suspicions of fraudulent activity. The birlasoft website even has a warning page informing readers of these potential scams. I imagine the company and names will change with the next scam attempt, but for now this information is to be regarded as fraudulent and associated with illegal activity. I urge those seeking employment to use caution in any online job offer.
