I bought a TV from Best buy. I opened a credit account with them. They sent me a HSBC credit card that I did not ask for.

I sent payment in and received nasty call for payment that was already sent. I was hit with late fee. I called them back and said that I did not like the way I was treated and that I wanted to pay off the account and also asked WHO sent the HSBC card I did not ask for it, and to please close this account.

The Best Buy account was closed so I was told and then later I was told a balance of 4.00 was still due after I paid 392.00 as told. I told them that I paid the same day I was told the pay off and that I did not owe 4.00. They said they would take care of it.A couple monts go by and I receive a bill for the 4.00 plus 5.00 more.I called again and they took off the 5.00 but did not take off the 4.00 that I was told AGAIN they would do.
I received a credit alert from credit agency that account was due. I called AGAIN spoke to Myrana and she took the 4.00 off the account. She failed to tell me that a week later they would report the 4.00 as 30days PAST DUE on my credit.

I called again and spoke to Myrana agian and she said that she could not help.

I work hard to keep my credit good and did not ask for a card that was sent to me, I never used this card.
I would never ruin my credit or waste my time over 4.00.
Sorry to make a big deal over 4.00 but this is crazy that I take it in the rear because they were dishonest!!!
These people are nasty and dishonest.

Call Household Bank and ask for a copy of the credit card application. On the application there are three places that you can sign.

1. The actual credit application for the Best Buy card.

2. Debt cancellation

3. Household's MasterCard

The Best Buy reps enter in the application at the store for cases of instant approval and they are scored on how many people they can get to sign up for the debt cancellation and the mastercard. Household is supposed to review the actual applications sent in before processing the mastercard, but I'm aware of situations where they didn't.

They legally have to provide you with a copy of the application showing your signature saying that you wanted the mastercard as well as the Best Buy account. If you did not sign it, report it to the store where you signed up and to the credit reporting agencies.

When you open a Best Buy account, you ARE sent a card that should only be able to be used in a Best Buy store. Hope that this helps...
