I tried to access automatic online car registration, because the state, where I live provides that service. I chose the site for my state, and this came into view. Their service is an absolute joke, because I don't need anyone to give me an online document to know how to register my car, nor do I need an online form, since the information is very simple and easy to access at the DMV. There basically is no need for this company's service, and when I notified our county DMV, there was a pause before they seemed to give an automatic response. "No, that is not our site."

My only surprise is that no lawyer or firm has initiated proceedings against this scam, and in my opinion it is a scam, when they imply online registration, and suddenly print appears negating that very thing.

There was no going back, once I made one click. I looked up the firm online and found others having made the same mistake of trusting them.

I called the number, and after repeating my complaint about the deceptive tactics, and their initial ad is very deceptive, the person told me that my charge was "pending," and that a refund would process within 10-14 days.

Yes, the charge is only about $20, but I resent their tactics, and most importantly, I resent the fact that some company far away from my state would have the nerve to suggest that providing forms and documents, that I already can access online, would somehow be worth any kind of charge.

First, they don't save me a trip to the DMV in my city, nor do they save me any kind of wait time, since I have to submit they information they provide "in person" and "in hand." Secondly, why would anyone need a third party like this to provide documents and information that any one can access online.

They are "smooth." You think that somehow you have the DMV site, and suddenly after a click, you find out otherwise. I will cancel the credit card I used for the transaction, since this company gives me no grounds to think I can trust them.

When you read rebuttals, please notice that everyone has the same complaint--deceptive practices and a useless product.

There is no deception on their website

AUTHOR: coast - ()

POSTED: Friday, September 19, 2014

“I don't need anyone to give me an online document to know how to register my car”

That explains the reason they posted [on the web page you provided], “Car-registration.org provides independent application assistance for official DMV services, which may be available for free or at an additional charge through the official site or a local office."

“You think that somehow you have the DMV site, and suddenly after a click, you find out otherwise.”

There is no reason for you to think that. They never imply that it is a DMV site. They have clearly posted at the top of every web page on their site: Car-Registration.org is a privately owned website that is not owned or operated by any government agency.

“deceptive practices and a useless product”

There is no deception on their website. Useless is a matter of opinion. You agreed to the service and therefore you would be committing fraud if you attempt to dispute the credit card charge.
