The survivalist forum, http://www.whenshtf.com has an owner and administrator who feel compelled to read the Private Messages of their members. 

Nowhere in the Terms of Service does it state that private messages are subject to being read.  The legality of reading their members' private messages is in grave question considering the Terms of Service do not disclose that Private Messages are not in fact, private.  The presumption of privacy is presumed by the very name of the service provided by the site - PRIVATE MESSAGE.

The information you share with others via private message will be read by those abusing their members, and may be used against you.  At least one user was banned based on information contained in a Private Message, and another had reduced privileges based on information transmitted via Private Message. It's unknown how many other users have had their privacy violated by the owner and administrator of this board.
