Let's be truthful here, Kim. You were fired because you were a lousy employee. You were hired back out of pity. You were still just as lousy of an employee and were fired again. That's the truth.

The only people who stay around Maria are those who want something from her or are legally bound to do so. How cold do you have to be to "pull the plug" rather then lose your inheritance?

I find it hilarious to see that all of these alleged "employees" and "students" are all the same person - Kim Chait-Lund. It seems her intention is to destroy this business after unsuccessfully trying to have its principals arrested (lost in court after multiple perjuries) and trying to sue for damages (no lawyer would take the phony case).

Kim has a long history of fraud and her now bankrupt delivery company lost two major contracts due to her stealing from the deliveries (big screen tv's, washers, dryers, refigerators and more). She is an ex-stripper and, some say, "prostitute" who has a crushing prescription pill problem for which she was recently found to be defrauding Medicaid to support. What a sad woman and a sad life.

Whatever is or is not true about the school, nothing Kim Chait-Lund says should be given a shred of credibility. She's a thief and a liar to say the least.

I am prior employee of this school. I resigned in November 07 so I was not there for the incident mentioned above. I WISH I had seen this rip off report so I could have avoided the AWFUL experience I had there.

WARNING TO POTENTIAL STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES:
Avoid this school and the sister school Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy!! Students, do not waste your money! Employees, do not risk getting your name dragged through the mud and your paycheck shortchanged.

I think the owner Maria Ferguson and her sister Rosanna Tudisco are unfit to run a business and may be mentally ill and/or may have major substance abuse issues.

Here's as sample of what I witnessed in my few short months there:

Unhappy, Confused Students
Maria, Rosanna and one of the teachers (who was fired) would talk about students as if they were criminals or annoyances. Students did not know their hours because the school was not keeping correct records. As part of graduation, students are required to review the school, the reviews were scathing. Also, students were not provided with account statements in a timely manner.

Questionable Accounting
There were four different bookkeepers/accountants at the school during the few months I was there. The last person was fired by phone message without a reason given and her subsequent phone calls to close out issues where not answered. Rosanna ran her mouth endlessly when each person was fired and dragged their name through the mud. It is a red flag for me when an institution terminates employees that handle the books in such a rash manner.

Questionable Payroll Methods
A different employee was in charge of processing payroll almost every pay period with limited to no training. Timecards frequently did not work properly. An hour lunch was subtracted for employees even when lunch was not taken (I believe it should only be one half hour)

Libel and Slander
When employees resign or are fired, the owner and her sister create fictional exaggerated stories about why the employee left the school and tell them to anyone who will listen. When I left, they told people I was into witchcraft and that is why I was gone (one of the sisters must have pulled that out of their a*s bc I am Christian).

Unprofessionalism
This was the most unprofessional uncomfortable place that I have ever worked at. An owner of an institution should not be discussing prior employee conduct or issues with current employees with any subordinates. Students should be treated with respect. There should not be a woman (drunk?) like Rosanna shouting her opinions on interracial relationships, other religions, employees bodies etc on school premises.

Major Employee Turnover
I think I was there for three months and in addition to the revolving door for accounting, there were 5+ receptionists and a couple of teachers who were fired or quit. I spoke with another employee after I left and she told me that another teacher had been fired, Maria accused a struggling single mother of stealing (the girl was an angel) and that she fired the mentally handicap cleaning lady.

My suggestion is to STAY AWAY!

On a positive note, I felt the students, a few of the teachers and my coworkers very professional and nice to deal with.

I was a night student in 2007 at the Hudson Valley School of Advanced Aesthetic Skin Care and was in the room where Fredericke' was instructing. I don't know Kim personally just of her. I witnessed Lucile's son peeping around the curtain at the women who were undressing when I went into the room to get a blanket. A few minutes later, Kim, the Clinic Supervisor came in to the room and asked him to leave and he at first said no because his mom told him to do work in there. That he went back into the room and after that you saw Kim put everything back into his duffle bag and put it back into the hallway.

About ten minutes later Lucile and her son went back into the room. Marissa went to get Kim and Lucile and Marissa started arguing. Kim told Marissa to go back to the client and she'd handle it. At that time Lucile started swearing at Kim and told her to get out of the room. You could not hear what Kim was saying because she was speaking too quietly. The next thing you saw was Lucile pushed Kim with two hands into the corner of the door frame and Kim bounced off of it. Lucile then walked out of the room. Her son followed her and on his way out picked up the bag of tools and hit the left side of Kim with it and said that "I'm going to kick your F*cking *ss You F*cking b***h, I'll kill you when you leave here". At the time Kim didn't fall to the ground but was pushed several feet.

After that Stephanie and Kim were arguing about something and then Kim went into the office. This started at about 7pm. Maria Furguson, the owner of the Hudson Valley School of Advanced Aesthetic Skin Care, showed up at about 9:30 pm and were still in the office when you left at 10PM.

The next night while doing body treatments Kim almost passed out. Kim brought in her aromatherapy oils from home because the school did not supply them. Stephanie and the other new teacher helped her into another room. She took her lab jacket off when she was laying down and her shirt separated from her pants at the bottom and there were visible bruises everywhere I could see. I asked Kim if I could see the rest of her back and she let me. She was covered in bruises. I told her she should press charges but she said she would be fired and couldn't afford to feed her baby if that happened.

The next night when I came in Kim was not there. Maria Furguson, the owner of The Hudson Valley School of Advanced Aesthetic Skin Care and her sister Rosana were there. We were told that Kim had been fired because she is psychotic and doesn't know what she is doing. We were all asked to sign statements saying bad things about Kim. I said that I hadn't worked with her much, only the one night but was told by Maria and Rosanna to just write something. That night a state trooper came in but we were all told not to speak to him. After he left we were told that there would be a court hearing against Lucile. We were told the school had a restraining order against Kim and that she would be arrested if she contacted the school.

The night of court we were told if we wanted to receive credit hours for going to school then we would have to lie and testify against Kim. I was afraid to say I saw anything. The students who did come forward were accused Kim of prostituting herself with the plastic surgeon who was the current medical director of the school and would get them free plastic surgery in exchange for their testimony. Maria said she knew Kim for many years and that she in incompetent, has severe psychiatric problems, is violent, that her and her husband had threated Maria and Kim's husband was stalking them in the parking lot.

We were told that no hours would be given to anyone telling the truth. We were also told that Kim is a thief and Maria had her arrested for stealing her credit card. Rosanna referred to Kim as someone who likes black c*ck & made several anti-sametic comments that I found offensive. She said she knows the type that Kim is, always slacking off. I never saw Kim even stop to eat when the students were on break she worked with the other students who needed extra help. All of us asked Maria why she hired Kim if she was as incompetent as she stated. Maria claimed she was desperate as she didn't want to have to bother teaching us herself.

After that she started firing everyone. I overheard some of the arguments. I heard the receptionist say that she wasn't lieing for anyone. The school administrator was fired. I also heard her say that Lucile's son couldn't be there any more since he has had violent outbursts prior to this one. Lucille said if her son couldn't be there then she wouldn't either. Lucille was also difficult to deal with. She would embarrass some of us while we were practicing. I was having a Brazilian done and she walked in after opening the curtain wide, she then started instructing the student working on me to have me get on my hands and knees bent over. I said I wasn't comfortable with that as I was already naked. Lucile said it didn't matter to do it her way.

The other receptionist, Jessica I think was her name, who was not even an aesthetician started teaching us for a while because Maria didn't want to come in at night. Maria made her oldest son, a convicted felon, the night receptionist for some time. He was booking appointments for personal things such as Brazilians with anus. I'm sorry but it's not fair to embarrass women like that.

Maria then fired some other teacher who's name I never had time to learn. Then Stephanie left and Maria said that she didn't know what she was doing anyway and if she had taught Stephanie herself she would have known more. She said that Stephanie was also stealing from her and that several expensive items were missing.

You know what? Enough is Enough!! I paid fifteen thousand dollars with interest it will be more like fifty thousand dollars and there's no one to teach us. Maria is always stoned out of her mind. I know people who get high and know what pot smells like. Rosanna isn't there much anymore but when she was she always smelled of alcohol and had white powder under her nose. She used to yell at us and swear at us in front of people which was humiliating

THE ONLY REASON YOU DON'T HAVE 100 POSTINGS UP HERE IS THAT EVERYONE IS SCARED OF BEING BLACK BALLED OR SHE WON'T LET US GRADUATE LIKE SHE DID TO ONE STUDENT. THE SCHOOL IS A JOKE AND DANGEROUS.

Maybe Maria Furguson, owner of Hudson Valley School of Advanced Aesthetic Skin Care should go back to school herself. She did a demo of a bikini wax on her sister, not a pretty picture. She kept re-dipping the stick and saying "whoops, you didn't see that". She doesn't have enough sets of tips for the microderm machines so they're not sterilized between clients. The clients are booked back to back and none of us know what we're doing. We learn by following the instruction sheet and hoping for the best. She works us like slaves.

Since day one the school was run in a fly by night manner. Teachers have been forced to teach a subject whether they were qualified or not. Students have had the same issues since day one, there was no one to teach them but the other students. I don't understand the comments that were left as they were left directly attacking the former employee who had already been abused enough.

It is unclear to me why the letter was not written by Maria instead of "someone defending her". Please, I don't know why anyone would make this kind of thing up.

I think the fact that the pass/rates and that the department of education has done audits at the request of students which has resulted in tuition being returned is proof enough. Everyone knows what happened to Kim. In the quest to protect herself the school's owner even fired her administrator and everyone else like myself who refused to lie and say that what happened to Kim didn't happen.

If there is an employee altercation that became violent then why wasn't everyone fired? Why not file a police report? I guess that would be bad press.

A roomful of people witnessed Kim's assault. Even the other night teacher, Stephanie, who quit after being pushed into having to go to court and possibly purjuring herself is gone. What was the need to get rid of all the witnesses?

Maria has been seeing her therapist every Monday night for the past seven or more years but it hasn't helped. She still doesn't have the ability to make decisions without her sister who Maria has claimed to hate. She claims her sister is a drain on her and when she told her that she has to move out of her home freaked out and stopped talking to her. She said that Rosanna goes out with the teachers and drinks too much wine, especially being diabetic. She has advised her sister to switch to hard liquor to avoid the sugar but she hasn't listened despite losing several toes.

I'd like to know why Kim is always the scape goat?

If she was such a bad employee than why was she re-hired?

What about the student who's name I won't mention because you've already terrorized her enough. The one you refused to let graduate because she testified for Kim in court. You suddenly realized that there was a mathematical mistake on your end and her tuition hadn't been paid in full. It's bad enough you're blaming Kim for writing about the fact that the students don't get what they pay for.

Why would Kim be the one who is psychotic? Is Maria able to speak for herself of is she just Rosanna's puppet?

I made a mistake by putting Kim's name online because it just gave you something else to try to accuse her of. You already sent a detective to her to see if she stole your credit card to go from one McDondalds to another. When she worked she never even stopped and ate.

I'd like to see the students voice there opinion of the education they received at the school.

Well, I guess since the pass/fail rates are public that speaks for itself. That is unless of course you plan on blaming one employee for all of the students that failed.

First of all, shame on rip off report for submitting this report. Hey, Kim did you not notice that you signed your report on top? You proceed to tell us how you have been wronged as an employee. "I was one of the employees fired last year after another incident."

The then in the upcoming paragraphs you then to tell this story of abuse " One night there were women undressing (they take their shirts off for facials) behind a curtain. They got very upset when they noticed Tommy, Lucile's adult son, peeping at them at the corner of the curtain. The students asked one of their instructors, Kim Chait-Lund to get him to stop. Kim then got him to leave the room. Lucile came back and told him to start again. One of the students then got Kim. The student and Lucile began agrueing. At that time Kim, the instructor, told the student to go back to what she was doing and she would handle it."

Not only did you admit you are a bad employee but I think it is quite funny how your story switches from referring to yourself in the first person to the third person in the paragraghs about the abuse you have occured.

Another example of this untruthful report is this quote you state "Later Kim filed for workman's comp benefits. She stated she initially just wanted to document her bruises. All of the students willing to testify against Kim were given school hours if they were willing to testify against her. The employees including myself were told either we backed up the school or we would be fired." Why do you need to back up the school with the claim being inaccurate if you are the injured person?

Oh wait people it gets better Kim's lawyer I guess was Maria's best friend. do I have that line right Kim, am I correct? Do you get my drift Kim this line makes you look like a psycho with nothing better to do than to harrass this company. "Kim's lawyer forgot to call in the witnesses and forgot to submit the original medical reports that noted the extensive bruising that she had. I personally saw the bruising and the medical reports"

If I were you I would request your money back from the Lawyer because maybe you need to file a report with this website about the lawyer to?
