Hughes Communications & Echostar Corp-A Deceptive business practices and awful internet service CEO Pradman Kaul, 11717 Exploration Ln. Germantown Maryland

We have HugesNet for less than a month. I was leery about having to get satellite service because of outages during bad weather. I was told by Hughes salesperson that if that happened to call them and they would send a tech to re-position the dish.

After lots of rainy days, plenty of outages and now speed so slow we cannot stand it I finally called tech support. I got someone in India, who read from a book. No matter what I sadi to her she repeated her phrase from the book clearly not understanding me. S0 I finally asked for her supervisor. He told me that to have a technician come out we would have to negotiate the price with that technician. I was less than happy. 

I asked him to transfer me to customer service, it turns out that is them as well. Soi I asked how I get back to that American who sold me my service. I was forwarded to sales! The very nice lady there apologized. She said reset our modem, router, and everything else that can be unplugged and replugged. Being ancient internet users, we know and had already done that.

 She also said that since we were within our first 30 days we should have a tech out at no cost with no problem. So, she asked which number I had called and gave me what was supposed to be a better number. She then told me how to get through the prompts to get techinal support without going through everyone else first. Well, it didn't work. So basically.....I can get nowhere and my service is turtle slow...no we are not near our usage limit....and our net is down when there are clouds anywhere in the area!! Forget rain or thunder..just a few clouds. We cannot livestream, downloads are painful. We have no other options out here and are just sickened! 

 HughesNet and their parent company EchoStar should be ashamed of the way they outsource customer service and tech support, provide a book for telephone people to read from and leave their customers hanging. I grew up in the broadcast business and I KNOW this can be fixed with some money!! Obviously you do not care to spend it. I will be filing with the FCC, BBB and writing my state attorney general as well as the newspapers.

Please....anyone start a competing internet service in Rogersville area of Tennessee!
