Hughesnet - Directway a total ripoff if you want to waste money, use this service Birmingham Alabama

WOW. I had Direcway before Hughesnet took over. With Direcway, I didn't seem to have a problem with the limit on my bandwidth. After Hughesnet put their name on the company - all went to, well, it went way downstairs.

I have the middle plan, the one that costs me 75.00 a month for 300MB. I have three computers - none of us are home all day and we only use this at night. We might download a video or two off of Youtube every now and again, or I may log into where I work for a few hours and then, everything is gone. All of our internet is completely used up.

I live in the country as most of the people complaining about this company on this site, and can not get cable to come out where I live. When I talk to other people about their internet service and how they can not stay on the internet all day without using all of their bandwidth, they look at me like I'm crazy. They have never heard of such a thing.

Ladies and Gentlemen, something has to give. They tell you, you have to sign at least a 15 month contract so you are stuck for a year and half. Can this be legal???? I mean they lie about the service and how can you only have a little portion of a satelite? I mean daggum, every one uses satelites these days. Does this mean when I go on a long trip and my GPS has been on all day that it will stop because I've used too much of the satelite????
