I bought a Ghost Wind Turbine from hornetwind on Ebay and that add claims it's custom made ("optmized") for Wind Zone 1.  The Ebay Add is rather conjested and confusing to read so I asked the seller many questions and I believed at 1st I was getting a good deal.  But after ordering he stopped answering my questions so I went over the add with a fine comb.

The so called 800 watt wind turbine "the ghost" that is "optimized" for low wind zones such as zone 1 (like where i live) but it has a link in very small print - the smallest print you can fit that links over the data / power curve on the unit.  Where i live i average about 9 mph in Windzone 1 in Tucson, AZ and according to his data it looks like id be lucky to get 50 watts off of something that is rated at 800 watts.  Well to get 800 watts his very hidden data shows that you need something like 40-50 mph to get that 800 watts which is something you are just not going to get in a wind zone 1 --- not even close.  you won't even get half that or a 1/4 that /maybe a 1/4 but that won't give you much watts - it's much less that 100 watts and it won't be consitant because you need 5 mph (or more) just to for the unit to power up.  

Then there's the installation - it's in not legable print that is in image format so you can't change the test and if you enlarge it the print is blurry - i tried this by saving the image.  Since i couldn't read the installation instructions i asked politely asked him to send me more legible instructions and they did not respond - i asked 2 times over several days while product was in the mail - and they never answered this simple question regarding legible instructions.  This was after i bought many other required items to make the wind turbine at their request - so yes they answered some of my email - but not my request for legible instructions.  

The total cost for installing this wind turbine would now cost from $700 to $1000 dollars to do it myself and all for just 25 watts to 50 watts or so.   I wish i would have know this from the beginning - the seller is deceptive only out to sell his product.   I had to buy a special charge controller - he sells for ruffle 150 - then build the tower - buy 4 gauge stranded wire - and build a tower -- a bridge rectifier is also required -- i ran out and bought all this stuff - and ended up having return it after realizing this was a complete rip off - solar is much more practical and i have now invested in that.    

After i bought "the ghost" he ignored my vital questions and figured me for a pushover.   I wanted to leave negative feedback for him on ebay but for some reason i couldn't / perhaps he is a power seller or that i got my money back but i had additional losses because of all the other additional stuff i had rounded up for the install which they told me i would need through emails / they never sent me legible step by step instructions even though i complained about the print - i guess they figure someone that spends 500 bucks on their items isn't worth the effort.  

So even though i got my money back i'm out additional money and ended up stuck with a few items i don't need which i don't have the time to return and the cost don't justify the cost in gas to return these items because i live in a rural area - if he (the seller) was more honest about his product i would not have had to go through all this.   his data for the product is not even in the form of a proper link it's in small print you have to cut and paste so most people won't know the power curve data unless the read the add very carefully - yes it's hidden in the middle of the add which is very lenglthy and talks about non pertinent stuff.   They have other links on the add that are "properly linked" / clickable and in larger print so they do know how to make links obviously - this is clearly false advertisement.  

Since i couldn't leave negative feedback I made a youtube video about the product - the ghost 800 watt turbine with the same information i explained here and Bob Green had my video removed for copyright infringement  (using the law to hide negative reviews)because i made a negative review of his product --- making a review of something you buy is not copyright infringement - i found out he does this to other people on youtube.  no wonder he has a perfect rating.    Bob Green of Thermodyne is stalking my channel / youtube for any negative information about his products and claiming it's copyright infringment.   It is illegal what he is doing and a violation of consumer productions and the right to free speach.  Reviewing a product is not against any law but he's acting like it is to save his repuation.
