Hydroxatone Free Trail Rip Off! Internet

I responded to a "free trial" offer from Hydroxatone. When I called the number provided, I specifically asked the "customer service" representative what the free offer involved and what I would be charged. The representative explained that I would receive the am/pm moisturizer and would only be billed $9.95 to cover shipping and handling. I would then be billed $60 some dollars if I wanted to continue to receive the product. He did explain that Hydroxatone is a beauty club and that I would automatically be billed and product shipped monthly if I did not call customer service to cancel.

The customer service representative also told me about a special they were running on an eye cream that was half off. I responded "that's nice" thinking that my order would probably come with a catalog listing special offers and the rest of the Hydroxatone product line. Again I stated that I wanted to make sure that I was only going to be billed for the shipping and handling charges of $9.95.

Imagine my shock when my order arrived in the mail and I discovered that the eye cream and a second jar of the moisturizer was included - along with an invoice for over $170! Instead of $9.95 charged to my account, I was charged nearly $40 for the first payment.

I contacted customer service and found them to be less than helpful. I returned the product well within the 30 day grace period and made sure I sent it back priority mail with proof of delivery. Now, I'll just have to wait and make sure that they do not take any more money from my account and that they return what they have already taken out.

This offer sounded too good to be true and it was! Please beware! I know I will never respond to a free trial offer again!
