Please do not list your car online with this company. Going is usually smooth till your car gets involved in an accident. They will abandon you immediately your car is invoved in an accident. Ordinary minor windscreen damage, hyrecar will not assist you to get it fixed by the driver. Hyrecar will get deposit from the driver and will not use it to solve any problem.

I have 6 claim cases total more than $4500 with them for the past 2 yrs  and nothing was done.

My car registration is now suspended by DMV for toll tickets of over $950 incured by 2 drivers. I did transfer of liability and the tickets are still not paid by the drivers.

Broken windscreen not fixed. I do not understand why the government should allow this company to be ripping off innocent car owners.

6 Claims?

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, May 30, 2019

One of course has to ask how you let it get to 6 unpaid claims? After them failing to pay ONE claim, let alone SIX, why did you continue to rent out your car?

I do not understand why the government should allow this company to be ripping off innocent car owners.
- Well you aren't exactly that "innocent", as you continued to rent your car out even though they have a history of not paying  claims you have made..you knew EXACTLY what you were doing. Apparently the money you were making for renting out the cars outweighed the damages that you were incurring.  The government doesn't need to get involved..YOU just need to use some common sense.

Now, with that said the question is what terms did you rent the car under? When you rented out your car do they have a liability policy that covers damages?  If so you need to go after their insurance company. If they refuse to pay you perhaps need to file a complaint with the State or get an attorney. If they didn't have any liability coverage then you are responsible.  You could try to file a claim with your insurance. However, unless you notified your insurance company that you were renting out your car for profit it is very likely they will not cover it either.

Your last choice is of course to go after the drivers directly, especially for the tolls. For $950 you could do a small claims case for a minimual amount,  But if this has truly been going on for 2 years, you may either have run out of time or about to run out of time to do that due to the Statute of Limitations.
