Icon sent a representative named Jenny Haskett (Senior Account Executive) to my place of work. Her and I discussed the contract and what was to be in it. The verbal agreement was no leasing fee for the equipment and not bound by contract. When I recieved a copy of my contract it had been altered. Icon sent my contract to Lease Finance Group and they are now charging me for leasing the equipment and Icon also changed the contract to a 60 month contract, which was not what I verbally agreed to, I clearly stated that I would not be locked into a contract with them.

Icon told me that they would buy me out of my existing contract with the other reputable credit card company I was using. When I called Icon I was informed that it would take 30 days to receive my buy out check. That is not what was agreed apond. I had to call the tect service department and I asked about the check and I was informed that it would take 30 days and when I asked why I was told it is to keep clients from jumping to company to company collecting buy out checks.

I had also requested that the terminal do an automatic batch out at 6 am and that it had the tip options. Not only have I been on the phone with them but one of my other employees was on the phone with them for 2 days trying to set up the terminal as needed for my place of business. We now have those options but we cannot reprint the final receipt with the tip included for our clients, which is unacceptable. So we have to hand write in the tip and total and explain to our clients that the terminal does not reprint receipts with the tip included.

I have tried to contact Jenny Haskett and Connie Neff via e-mail and neither have replied to any of my e-mails. I have tried to contact Jenny Haskett by phone and the extention is invalid. I also contacted a customer service representative Valerie and explained all of this to her and Valerie told me that Icon was not responsible for the leasing fees. I then asked Valerie who is responsible since Icon altered the contract and she informed me that she would have to look into it. To this day I still have not received a phone call back.

I am beyond displeased with Icon and the tactics that they have used. They lied, altered my contract and now will not respond to my inquiries. DO NOT USE OR TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!

AUTHOR: Rippedoff - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 30, 2009

Create as much pain as you can for this lying pieces of garbage. THey will sell you for a $200 commision. That's pathetic. Credit card reps are as bad as any lawyer, banker, or doctor i have ever met. ????? Know It All's

AUTHOR: Ryan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 29, 2009

I understand all parties in this report, however there is always someone who says they have inside information. If this person knows LFG so well he would know that all processors have different parameters when it comes to leasing guidelines. Some processors have different documents that need to be signed and initialed and also a Quality Assurance call is made to the merchant to verify that all documents signed are accurate and that they do recall signing the NON-CANCELLABLE lease. To call Sean and other processors a fraud is ridiculous and demeaning. What you are saying is that he is committing a very serious crime and that is not right considering none of us know the truth. Let's all come to the realization that buyers are liars and that they will paint any type of picture they want as long as it helps them get what they want.

Proof the document was forged - Icon at fault

AUTHOR: The Truth - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 28, 2009

Alright guys, I am the Vice President of Merchant Relations for a processor here in the US. I would like to remain anonymous due to my position within the company. Sean from Icon is completely wrong and misleading in his rebuttal. First of all our company has used LFG for years, and LFG has no commission or any reason to rip you off. It is in fact Icon along with other processors that make these commissions and DO IN FACT FORGE the lease agreements. Sean is completely wrong about multiple things in his rebuttal. First of all LFG has the legal right to REQUEST the original documents. Never in my 10 years experience signing thousands of accounts have I ever seen them once request these. We fax them in and keep the originals on file. Therefore unless they have a suspicion and request one they wouldn't know if they are forged. Secondly the first two pages of an LFG agreement have two parts to sign along with one box to initial. Neither of the first two pages show any terms and conditions of the actual lease. (which is normal for a lease agreement with any company). The next two pages provide the true terms and conditions, and therefore LFG makes the consumer initial each one. Since the agent could simply leave these two pages out and have the consumer initial the first one, they could copy that initial to the next two pages and submit the contract. Hence LFG receives a contract with initials on all of the terms and conditions and the customer never even see's those pages. If you notice Sean claims there are 5 initials while there are only 3 total. He also claims there is nowhere to find an initial to put on the app. Well obviously if the customer fills out the first page they have an initial and would never truly have to show the other pages. I guess there is a chance Sean could be right and legit but I doubt it. I am nearly positive from what I've heard that he is forging leases along with the rest of his company just like hundreds of other processors in the nation currently. I also have no doubt that LFG is not at fault and from what they receive believe they have valid legitimate leases. It is a flaw in the way the contracts are setup. I just don't understand how someone could live with themselves after making their living that way. What goes around comes around. Someday the frauds such as Sean will be eliminated by the few honest companies such as ourselves. Hope this sheds some light.

How about this? Both of you are lying pieces of trash

AUTHOR: Rippedoff - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 17, 2009

Willing to sell your own mother for a $300 commision. So listen up "World"! Don't do business with this company EVER. Call your local attorney general, FTC, and BBB and report them all. The credit card business is based on unsuspecting ignorant uneducated business owners. We trust scam artists who fly into our business and "wine and dine" us promising lower rates. The truth people: the credit card processing rates are all the same.... maybe a butthair different 1/2 percent...sure that might mean a lot of money if you are blowing threw tens of thousands...but most small businesses aren't...so thats my two cents...and dude, thanks for writing..I will plaster you and name all over the internet as a big phoney...:)

#2 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Not everything is true

AUTHOR: Sean - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 12, 2009

I would like to state that first off not everything that is writen can be believed.

The first fact is that while there is a claim of a lease agreement being altered and never agreed upon that would be almost impossible to have happened. When a lease agreement is signed it is signed 2x and initialed 1x, there is then a document that has 5 initials and another signature validating the lease. Now, no where else on any of our paperwork does the merchant initial anything thus making that part impossible to copy. Not to mention that we have to provide LFG with the origional copies of the agreement so that they can verify the validity of the signatures. Then the merchant recieves a call from LFG verifying the lease as was done in this case making the lease final and LFG's property thus Non Cancellable. We DO NOT change any contracts or falsify any documents and we never will. As far as the check that was to be received we always, as is company policy, issue those checks 30 days from the time that we install or reprogram a terminal to ensure that the merchant is up and processing before we are out of pocket the money without the other end of a deal being met by the merchants. In every case this is explained by the Sales Rep and then again by our Tech support at the time of installing/reprogramming a merchants terminal.

With regards to Mr. Angry d**k claim of what happened in customer service, I cannot attest as I do not know which of our thousands of merchants this is. What I will say is that i would be more than happy to work with him if he were to contact me, and i am sure that there would be a very amicable resolution, my cell number is posted on this report and i will always return any call if valid to help out any merchant if called at that number. If I was truely what people write here I would change my number and run from these types of problems. The reality is that I want to make sure that these problems do not occur and if they do that they get fixed before making it here. I invite anyone who has a problem with one of our accounts to call me before writing here and we will make all attempts to fix the issues. Thank you

Finally, as far as the "former employee" please do not put any stock in what you read when you see the name Lance as the poster. That is Lance Morris who I used to work for and for whatever reason has some sort of childish vendetta out for me, i guess because Icon is growing and we are an actual processor and all he can do is get an agreement to work under a company like mine due to the damage he has caused to his reputation in this industry. I apologize for him and what ever he may write, as it is all untrue and the even more comical part is he is attempting to replicate Icon in his business model. So, again i apologize you are al a part of this.

ICON charges $6000 for credit card terminals that only cost $350 online!

AUTHOR: Lance - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 08, 2009

ICON charges $6000 for credit card terminals that only cost $350 online! I wasn't paid for any of my sales. The owner Sean Mecham is a liar. He will tell you you make lots of money but then won't pay you. He tells his employees to alter documents to show higher lease fees.

Jenny Haskett (AKA) Jenny Cason should be ashamed of herself for continuing to work for such an immoral company.
