IBackup.com charged our company card over $25,000 for supposed overage fees for the previous years overage of data storage. Yet their policy clearly states that when you go over you can delete the data to bring your account within limits and there will be no charges. even though we did this each time we went over, they charged our card without warning. I contacted their billing staff and they said i didn't delete the data, yet my account showed only 65% usage after dleteing the data. They were unwilling to even discuss the issue. they keep saying they warned of the overages which they did but even though we deleted the overages they say they have the right to charge us. So for an account that was supposed to $200 per year, they are charging over $25,000! This is a rip off by an unscrupuous company. It is a predatory operation tricking people into thinking they are providing a service but in reality they only want access to your credit card.

IBackup.com corrected the issue

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 18, 2017

After the initial discussion with their customer support team we were contacted by a manager and they made everything right. They advised us on what the charges were caused by, went over the emails and notifications and apparently even phones calls we missed. They offered to fix everything at their expense and reverse the charge to our card. I have to say, this is an outstanding gesture on their part. They showed us how they calcuated the charges and still offered to wave them to make us happy. It is rare to see a company stand by their product like this. I will continue to use and recommend IBackup for my online backup solution. I consider this case closed.
