iDrive Online Backup Shady Business Practices, Terrible Support, Random Fees Internet

I purchased a one year iDrive 1TB account and canceled auto-renewal 2 weeks afterward. However, their auto-renewal re-enabled itself, and I was charged over double the price for the following year at the end of my contract.

Additionally, I was hit with a huge fee when they added 200GBs of extra storage to my account without my permission. I only have a 1TB hard drive, but they upped my account to 1.2TBs and said that I was using all of it, even though their desktop icon said I was using 890GBs of data.

They are draconian about not giving refunds. I presented all of this information to their customer support including screenshots showing my data usage, and the most they would do was to offer 50% off the 200GBs of extra storage they added to my account, however, they never actually gave me the refund.

Do not use unless you want to be charged enormous fees for a slow service with no customer support. Don't trust reviews from websites like PC Mag - they are given affiliate kickbacks for driving traffic to iDrive. Read actual consumer reviews and you'll see this company is a horrible scam.
