Be careful using Ifriends.com or .net. It appears to be a totally free site (unless you voluntarily agree to upgrade). They ask for your credit card info for age verification (which I will never do again) and promise you will not be charged for anything.

Hidden at the end of a long legal statement, mostly describing how you will not be billed for anything, is a clause saying you agree to pay 49.00 for a special intoductory offer. (which you will get billed for).

Shame on me for not reading every single line of this lengthy agreement. shame on them for intentionally setting up a scam that I'm sure suckers in many people to unwittingly pay 49.00 dollars for a crappy web site in the first place.

You have to read what you digitally sign!

AUTHOR: Jenny - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 04, 2006

I am a member of ifriends, and have never been charged for anything that I didnt ask for. Some of the fanclubs are a per charge service, but you will be notified BEFORE you elect to receive those services.

Just because the word "free" is on the website, does not mean the entire site is free. There are pay per minute chatrooms, pay per view videos, and pay per month service fees that are in addition to the monthly free membership.

I know it is hard to read carfully all the details of the contract when you are in an excited state, but you must not blame them for your mistake. Be careful, a fool and his money are soon parted.

Read the disclosures!

AUTHOR: Cal - (U.S.A.)

Nothing is hidden, not even the $6.95. At the end of the signup it clearly states that the service is FREE contingent on your participation on the website. if you vote on just 25 pictures per month the $6.95 is waived.

PEOPLE need to start reading the TOS!

hidden charges

AUTHOR: Jeremiah - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 31, 2004

well you may charge a $1 up front fee. however you failed to mention that hidden 8.95 fee that shows up on your account. EVEN IF YOU OPTED FOR THE FREE ACCOUNT. invisible information when a credit card is involved is a major no-no!

Ifriends.net/.com does not charge any hidden fees.

AUTHOR: - ()

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:

Their email: swirlygrrl@charter.net
Their name: Amber S.

Their relationship to the company: Supporter

Rebuttal:
Ifriends.net/.com does not charge any hidden fees. It is a webcam communitty where many of the people exhibiting perform adult shows.

Ifriends requires a credit card to sign up and the only reason for this is age verification. They charge $1.00 to your card for a life time membership and that $1.00 charge is returned if you request it be returned or enter a pay per view webcam.

As for the $49.00 charge (It is located in the terms of service--something that should be read fully before providing your credit card information to ANYONE) it can be returned by calling cusromer service.

Ifriends is free, but many of the independent contractors who exhibit there are not (they charge a per minute fee for people who would like to watch them preform on their web cameras.)

Thank you, a loyal viewer and chathost
