I was so excited to see the commerical for the Singer Lazer Vac! Wow a vacum that can do that and is light weight. I had just bought my new house and I wanted this vacum. I didn't order it off the infomertial I saw on it, but waited a few weeks to see if I saw it again.

I didn't so i thought I would search "Singer" for the vacum. I went to the singer web site and there it was!! The Singer Name has always been a reputable Name and if it was made by Singer I thought this is going to be a good product.

I ordered the Vacum on 7/14/05. About 4 weeks later I called the customer service number and it said for faster service e-mail so i did. I got a call back and the woman said they were on back order and it would be 7-10 business days before i got my vac.

O.K. fine so 2 weeks later no vac. I called and was on hold for over an hour then was disconnected. I then e-mailed again. I got no call. the auto e-mail reply says someone will get back to you with in 24 hours so i waited one more day. No call.

I called the customer service again, and got through to someone. Talk about rude!! they answer the phone "Singer can you hold" click - and don't give you a chance to respond (that is if you can get through) She said the vac's were on backorder for 7-10 days and I told her that I had already been told that one time and I wanted to talk to the Manager.

I spoke to Mary Louise the suposable manager only to find out this is not Singer, this is IGIA they only bought the Singer name, the product is made by IGIA. She told me the same thing that the product is on back order and could not give me a ship date. I asked where the warehouse is, so she gave me that number also and told me she would put a rush on my order.

That was a joke. I called the warehouse and no one put a rush on my order so he said he would put a rush on my order. 2 weeks later (9/5/05)I called back again. On hold for ever before someone came on. I asked for the manager and Mary Louise told me they were going to be shipped this week, but would not give me a date. I was hung up on and told they were very busy. anyways I waited again.

on 9/12/05 I decided to call back again. I was on hold 62 minutes then hung up on. I e-mailed to see if someone would call me at home. I actually e-mailed like 4 times and figured someone will call if I kept it up.
Then i decided I would find the better business bureau to report them. Little did i find out the were already on there with an "F" Reporting. Really??? I never would have guessed!!

on 9/20/05 I tried 5 time to get through to customer service and when i finally did I asked for a refund. I asked when i would recieve my refund she told me 15-20 business days and this is "Singers Policy". WOW 15-20 business days they sucked my money out of my account the day I ordered it and won't give my money back for 15-20 days (business days) so I have waited again. NO REFUND IN MY ACCOUNT YET... 21 business days later.

I did contact Singer and Singer says they know all about this problem but insists they have nothing to do with it and it is all IGIA. I told them I did think they should take a little responsibility since I did order this off of their internet site. Needless to say the vacum has been removed from the Singer web site.

I also read another mans report on this product that a man named Paul Greenfield the General Councel at IGIA responded to and said they do not do these types of things etc. Well i tried to call him since he left his phone number on the page. They will not let me talk to him on the phone. IMAGINE THAT.

They can say all they want but this is a MAJOR RIP OFF. I will not even buy IGIA products in the store anymore. Nothing!!! I have seen the MILINEX version of the vacum and this is the same vacum!! DO NOT ORDER IT!!

I would almost bet my life it is IGIA under a different name just like they used Singer they are now using Milinex because too many people were onto them and now they can't refund money and no one will buy the Singer brand now.

You may also check out the BBB of LA at www.labbb.org to view the report on them... I wish i would have checked them out better but with Singer I thought I couldn't go wrong!! Not true. I guess you can't even trust NAME BRAND ITEMS ANYMORE EITHER. I had no idea companies sell thier name to other companies to use.?? WOW Lesson learned.

I am out a total of 151.27. That stinks... I am a single mom also trying to support my daughter and pay all the bills alone and there are companies like this that rip us off and get away with it. Now i have to go spend more money to buy another vacum and still havent recieve my supposable refund? ha I never will I am sure!!

There might be a problem because of the amount of time that has passed but if you still have not received the vacs there shouldn't be a problem.

If you have the vacs, pack them up and send them back via FedEx. It will only cost you $15-$20. Keep your tracking info for the bank.

Show the bank all the Rip-off Reports filed on this website.

Good Luck,
Shari
