On August 12, 2005, I placed a phone order with Singer Lazerstorm for their TV 2 for 1 special deal. Without speaking to a live person, I was informed that the total order came to $159.

I canceled the order on the 16th of August after finding they (the company) had charged me $285.25. I called (1-877-363-3745) and spoke with Art who confirmed my cancellation, and told me it'd be 15 business days to receive a credit to my account.

I called Fed Ex, told them I refused shipment -- the package had been shipped the day I cancelled my order. Since my porch isn't visible from the driveway and I enter/exit through my garage, I didn't even know it was there until a neighbor came by. Fed Ex picked up the package on the 16th of September, and returned it to me for want of a Return Authorization Number from Singer.

I called Singer on 9/22 and spoke with Conia - who told me a label would be sent to me on Friday 9/23, with the authorization number on it. She also stated that their records indicated that the credit to my account had been processed -- Not according to my bank, however.

I called again on the 7th of October and spoke with Tillea, who told me that THEY would call Fed Ex to arrange for the package to be picked up and that their records indicated that a credit had been issued to my account. She said it should show up on my records by the 14th at the latest.

Tillea also informed me that they are based in New York and that the company name had changed to Igia Windstorm -- not Singer Laserstorm. Again, I waited until the 18th of October and no such credit has been received, and the package is still waiting for pickup.

I called again today - October 18th -- and spoke with Anne...who told me it would be at least 30 days before I could expect anything to be done - either the package picked up or the credit to my account. I demanded to speak with her supervisor (Monica Smith(?)) - but she was on the phone with another customer. I told her to have Ms. Smith call me before COB today or I'd be contacting the Attorney General's office in Washington State and pursuing a small claim against them.

I haven't checked it out thoroughly yet, but I may be able to sue them for at least twice the amount they owe me. If anyone has better information with regard to a corporate address in New York I'd certainly appreciate knowing it. Thanks.
