I completed an on-line survey while on the internet last month ...it was one of those pop ups. At the end of the survey there was a choice of several prizes. I chose the FREE e-cig starter kit for my daughter. I paid the $4.95 shipping and handling on my Visa card.
The kit arrived within a week and I was billed the $4.95. Imagine my surprise when I recently printed my monthly bank account statement and find that I have now been charged two more times by IGNITE YOUR SMOKES, for a total of $179.29.
I need to know how I can get my money back. I have no quarrel with the product but I did not agree to pay anything except the $4.95 shipping and handling.
HELP!!

Call the company and ask for a full refund! I did and they have at least promised to cancel my account and refund my money once they receive the item back. Get a RAN number from them and a confirmation tracking # from the post office. Good luck! Geeze...seems that everywhere we turn someone is trying to scam us!

Word of advice...whenever anything online states "free trial" or "free" or "trial" or "just pay shipping" etc...read the fine print or you will ALWAYS have charges pop up you did not expect but actually DID authorize.
For example on the page where you sign up and enter your account info it says this right next to it on the lower left side..."ignite Electronic Cigarette Offer
By clicking confirm my order, you agree to be enrolled in the 14 day trial offer for $4.95 which is the cost of shipping, and after the trial expires, you agree that your card will be charged $109.67 for the Starter Kit. Your refill cartridges will recur at $69.62 which includes shipping and handling every month from the time of initial purchase until you cancel. 1-888-662-1180"
So you needed to cancel or they automatically charge you for that stuff as listed and you inadvertantly agreed hence legally authorized the charges. I highly doubt you will get anything back but you can try. Sadly for you legally not much can be done since there is no law that covers you for making a mistake even if the website hid stuff in fine print.
