My October ATT telephone bill, which is paid automatically by the bank, included Itemized Charges Billed on Behalf of VOICE MAIL PROFESSIONALS Voice Mail Service Monthly Fee14.95, plus Government Fees and Taxes. AL - State/Local Tax .90 Total ILD Teleservices, Inc. 15.85

Totally fraudulent. I never ordered any such thing.
(Friday afternoon: attempted to clarify this erroneous overbilling.

After a LONG time on hold until someone finally ansered at AT&T:
AT&T claimed they are entitled to bill anything ordered by third parites with no need to check with the phone subscriber. The said they could do nothing; to call the third party billing company and get the charges reversed. They gave me a phone number.

ILD was even more uncooperative. I could get no names of persons I spoke to (except "Felix") and they said they just did billing, but I must call the service provider Voicemail Professionals, who were not open at that time, and for which they had no address. I had to wait until Monday. (I did get the ILD address, given above.) . I asked to speak to supervisors, none of whom were available. No names were given.

I called the number given by IDS, it was not in service. I called back ILD, and miraculously got a person (Carolyn) who said she was with VoiceProfessionals and asked how I got her at the ILD number. She was cooperative, gave me the correct VoiceProfessionals phone number (866-576-1876) and address for that company: 889 South Rainbow Blvd, Suite 619 Las Vegas NV 89145. They are open M-F 9 AM to 7 PM.

She said my phone number was used to open up an account; she gave identifying info which was not correct, then said that they would send a credit notice to AT&T and that my account with Voice Professionals would be closed.

In spite of this, I still feel this was a fraudulent attempt to bill people with automatice bank payment of the phone bills, and susp[ect that AT&T provided the information. I also feel that IDS is knowingly billing people who have not contgacted for any services, knowingly. I

I stopped the automatic bank payment with AT&T online, but it stated it could take a month to take effect.(The bank said I had to contact AT&T for that)

I emailed AT%T to (1) verify the credit (2) verify that no further third party billing would be permited opn my bills and (3) whether I had to send a check for this October bill that had been schedules for automatic bank payment. Their responses were unresponsive to any of my questions until I had sent three emails.

Today I checked my AT&T bill online. Everything is as it was originally, including the improper third party billing.
