i had charges on my frontier phone bill from ild teleservices for voicemail. there were 2 charges, 12.95 each, when i looked back through other phone bills i found i also had 1 charge in april for the same thing. i had never signed up for any voiceamail. i called ild and they said we had signed up online through theuseful.com. i checked it out and didn't recognize the site, nor did anyone else in my home. ild said they only bill for other companie. they agreed to take 1 charge off now (now meaning it will be credited back in 1 to 2 billing cycles) and said i could send a fax requesting the others be taken off. It doesn't change the fact they i never authorized this, or the fact that i have to pay it now plus the extra tax. someone needs to do something about this scam. the phone companies over charge you enough with out having some other "companies" trying to scam a little more money out of you. theuseful.com is anything but useful. Make sure anything you fill out on line is legit & not associated with them, there's no telling what you might end up agreeing to.
