I have just received a letter from Imagine mastercard, informing me that my mastercard that I have held through them for over 2 years was just terminated. There is no just cause in them doing so, for I have never late on a payment, payments always more than minimum, never a mixup of any kind, but now I have a closed acct. zero available credit, and balance that includes their latest service fee.
I have written numerous emails, and have received no response, I have tried calling several times, only to be told that they cannot help me" that their computers are down" and I would have to call back in several hours.
I was told by equifax that this will show up as a derogatory on my credit report and I am furious. I did nothing wrong in my credit use and I am told that I will be dinged for it on my credit report, I am going to look into my options with an attorney.

You will be wasting your time and money. In case you have noticed, most credit card companies are lowering credit limits, raising interest rates and closing accounts. It's due to the economy and they have to protect themselves. You signed an agreement when you opened your account stating they have the right to do this based on your credit scoring and other factors. They have done nothing illegal. Save your time and money. Credit is a privilage, not a right.
