I first contacted this company through via email and was responded to by a Mr. Chris Colburn ( I still have all the emails) regarding a modification to reduce our mortgage payments with the mortgage company we currently have (CIT in Oklahoma) which the mortgage company would not help us.

We signed the contract and had the money deducted from our checking account in two different installents. I kept calling to find out the status of this to a Mr. Colburn and no response, so I emailed him and he stated again that this is going to work. I have spoke to a person by the name of April Bruce who told me that someone by the name of Adam Hoffman has our case (don't know what happened to Mr. Colburn and have emailed him several times since the beginning of July with no response since then, so I keep calling and getting the run around)

My last conversation was to one of the most rude lady workers there and told me that I could cancel, so I sent my first cancellation (faxed) on August 11th and then again August 25. I keep asking for a phone call or some sort of response, I keep leaving messages and No reponse. As I read the contract, it stated that I had 72 hours to cancel to get a full refund and that is how they get you.....they don't respond to you in 3 days and have NOT responded since June 18 other than telling me that this is going to work.

We need our money back, since we have moved on to a better reliable company that has corresponded with us. How can a company take advantage of people trying to save our home.....we are not in foreclosure and wanted just to reduce our interest rate or payment and was told that IMC Financial can help.....The rude lady also told me that they contacted someone by the name of James who told them we were not in foreclosure for we know that, we just wanted a Loan Modification. Please help us to get our money back for services NOT RENDURED by IMC FINANCIAL Thank you!!!!

IMC Response

AUTHOR: Imc Financial - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 29, 2008

Having successfully handled hundreds of consumers financial affairs and being one of the few sources that has the ability to legitimately offer a lifeline to someone facing the prospect of losing their home through foreclosure, IMC has built a solid reputation in the industry. A result of this is that individuals and/or other professionals refer their clients to IMC to assist them in saving someone's home. In this case Mr. Coleburn was not an employee of IMC and was indeed with a company who referred his client to IMC, while still acting as the agent and point of contact. It is our practice under this arrangement to deal with the company or individual who initiated the transaction, as Mr. Coleburn did in this case. Upon learning that Mr. Coleburn was not servicing his client to the standards that IMC requires, we have since terminated the arrangement with Mr. Coleburn's company and all contact or issues that his client has should be directed to him. If this client had originally chosen to go to IMC directly we are quite confident that their situation would have turned out quite differently to their benefit.

I used to work for this company in the beginning before it was even IMC. Originally it was called TMC Financial Services and it was run by a bunch of people that were busy doing heavy drugs (like cocaine and various pills) who were more concerned about that rather than saving peoples homes. Many were from a company formerly known as Foreclosure Assistance Solutions/ Mortgage Second Chance. You can also search that scam company. It was owned by two gentleman from Colorado by the names of Tom and Mike. They knew what was happening in their building and did nothing about it. Mark Bushee stepped in because he was a broker who was supposed to head up the "Refinance Department." Long story short he ended up taking over the company and cutting the previous owners out of the picture. We picked up any customers left by TMC which were in bad shape. Some had already lost their homes because the previous employees never contacted their lender. Others were so deep into foreclosure and weren't prepared to get on any agreement with their mortgage company because they had never been instructed on what to do. Others had already filed bankruptcy (illegally through TMC) or wanted to cancel. And we were told to "fix it." There were so many files and so few of us, we did not have the resources to help people at that time even though some of us wanted to. He changed the company name from TMC to IMC and got rid of a lot of the TMC employees. That's why if you search for TMC on this site you will see people complain of TMC and IMC interchangeably. Funny thing is he was worse than the people who were running the office before him. He started letting the sales department say all kinds of shady stuff to customers. They were allowed to promise you anything as long as it meant that you would enroll in the program. Why? because they got a decent cut of the money you paid in and the more you paid the more they received. Then they would enroll people who were in terrible shape with their homes and needed the money they were paying us to pay their mortgage companies. I worked in the loss mitigation department where they dumped all of these files on us. You have no idea how many times I fought with the Sales department and Mark about the business practices. We weren't allowed to say anything to contradict the Sales department because they made all the money. We were instructed at some point to take peoples files and place them into a box because they belonged to TMC (the old company) and not the new one Mark started. He was doing this to try trick the TMC owners into funding us for the files. We didn't touch the files for 2 weeks!!!! Why because the old owners didn't care and Mark wasn't going to get the funding. He told us after two weeks of having to listen to people freaking out about their homes in desperation (cause he got most of those messages) he said we should probably work the files. Some people were within days of their sale date and some had gone into foreclosure. I went off on Mark telling him that this was beyond unprofessional, it was illegal. These were people's homes! I like other employees got fired for doing my job, helping the people we could and trying to get refunds for people who should have never been enrolled into our program.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I know they will not give you a refund. You should try to dispute the charges with your bank if you can. I would also suggest filing a complaint against the BBB and with your attorney general. Show anyone you know this response because I am telling you that this company is full of frauds. I hope this response somehow helps you in your venture to get help and I can't express how sorry I am that this company scammed you. Post this around, maybe you can spread the word on companies like this and save people from falling into the same predicament.
