iMember Group IMG, Kevin Shephard, Adam Ackerman YMCA's BEWARE! Punta Gorda , Florida

It first started when Adam Ackerman called us and said he was the "President of the company" iMember Group. He further explained that they exclusively sell memberships for YMCA's. His pushy, salesman like approach should have given us the first warning signs. He continued to call and weasel his way into our YMCA with promises that were never kept.  

iMember Group (IMG) was contracted to work with our local Y. They sent in very unpleasant sales people. They all smoked and came in smelling like cigarettes. They hit on the women at the Y like it was a local bar and made two members quit because of their actions. 

After they left our Y it got worse. We had many complaints, people cancelled their memberships and told us that the salesman said "you can cancel anytime". It further progressed when we received a call from a local woman saying she was pregnant with Kevin Shephard child. We found out later that Kevin Shephard is a partner in this shady operation.

There are many YMCA forums discussing how we can ban this operation from all Y's across the country. This is not a company you want working with your YMCA.
