Just got an email from Impact 210 seeking full and part-time scouts in my area.

I remember Wilhelmina Scouting Network and I Google searched the principal, Michael Fomkin, which led me to the following website, (link deleted - see below) showing a definite connection between Impact 210 and Wilhelmina Scouting Network. I excerpt part of what is reported by this website:

"Impact 210 is the brainchild of Michael Fomkin, whose background includes leadership at the infamous Wilhelmina Scouting Network scam. He owned a franchise which scammed thousands of young people. Impact 210 is another scouting operation. One of Fomkin's four "executives" is Gaetano "Guy" Pugliese, "Director of Scouting Division." "As Director of Scouting Division, Guy is responsible for interviewing and hiring the Impact 210 Scouts. He runs scout orientation." (http://www.impact210.com/AboutUs/executives.cfm) [Sept. 1, 2005].

Fomkin calls himself the "CEO/Visionary" of 210. WSN used to claim it was visionary and revolutionary before it went bankrupt in a cloud of controversy. Fomkin's name is attached to this fluffy comment: "With his latest business venture, IMPACT 210, Mr. Fomkin is setting new standards for the industry. Providing a broad range of services, from event planning and sponsorship consulting to industry related workshops and media exposure at corporate and individual levels, IMPACT 210 is a comprehensive resource center catering to a wide variety of professional talent across the globe."

Fomkin has never set any standards for the modeling industry except bad ones. He's been part of the worst exploitation of young talent the industry has ever seen. After WSN collapsed, following extensive exposure by the media, including a Dateline NBC report, Fomkin started Type 1 Model Management, an illegal business, which morphed into One Source Talent, which he created with his WSN business associate Anthony Toma."

Fake Job Applications - The man behind this is Ayman El Defrawi. Do not respond the the fake job offer.

AUTHOR: Paulina - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 06, 2006

Impact WW is a small part of a large scam - fake job offers that are sent via spam. When I say the jobs are fake I mean the initial advertized jobs. Later on they offer you a commision based scouting or casting "job". That in it's self is a pyramid or MLM. So there are actually two scams going on at the same time. The man behind this is Ayman El Defrawi. Do not respond the the fake job offer. Report your email as spam to your email hosting company. If you respond to the fake job offer, even to say that you know it is a scam, your email address will be considered active and will be sold to spamming companies. The best thing to do is to research all the names listed in the email-job offer letter and see where it will lead you. Good luck and stay spam and scam free!

#16 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Impact 210 is a scam, Fomkin is a crook!

AUTHOR: Neal - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 30, 2006

I'm not sure if the statement in the above post is really a "cut and paste" directly from their website.

I would think they would be smart enough to use capitol "i"s. Also, I didn't see that on their website. But I really didn't spend that much time there. I already know they're crooks.

So, I'm not sure if that is on their website, but I know it's true. B/c they had me sign an agreement like that one. (does it look like I give a crap? No one does. Go ahead and try to sue someone for trying to protect others from being scammed. We'll see whose side the judge takes.)

Maybe the statement in the post above was copied and pasted from their website.

Or, maybe Fomkin posted that himself, knowing it isn't on the site and he submitted the post himself to try to accomplish two things at once.

1. remind his ex employees that they signed an agreement to scare them from submitting any more posts.

& 2. To discredit any of the people that are legitimately posting that he's a crook by posting something fake.(b/c I know for a fact that he's not above that. He's done it before.)

Either way, it's not going to work. You know nothing about the Industry, you need to stop scamming people and move on. How the hell do you sleep at night knowing you make money by lying?

Knowing that you're making promises that you can't keep, and don't intend on keeping? Knowing that you know nothing about modeling, yet you lie and say you do so that you can con people out of their money? Seriously? How do you sleep? Or are you just completely insane and dillusional and you beleive your own lies?

What is it? Are you a con artist, or a lunitic?

I'm actually starting to think you are a lunitic. You have been exposed by Dateline so many times and you just keep going. You must be crazy.

How many times have you been on Dateline now Fomkin?

Can you even count that high?

People interested in modeling, working for this man, or working for any of his model scam companies, call NBC Dateline in Manhatten and ask them how many times they have aired a story on Michael Fomkin's various modeling scams.

Are you people really stupid enough to beleive that he cleaned up his act, and that he actually knows what he's talking about now?

Give it up Fomkin.

the "MANAGER AGREEMENT"

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 27, 2006

When there is verbage requiring employees NOT to post comments about the company on any website...

See below:

"i agree not to make any statements to the press, in any blog, or on any internet or public forum about impact worldwide except as specifically authorized by impact in writing. i understand that should i do so it will be grounds for immediate termination and that impact has the right to seek damages up to $1,000,000. i further understand that this term will stay in force for one year after my voluntary or involuntary termination."

That's a "cut and paste" directly from their website. They know they're running a scam...

Mike Fomkin is still in business? That's just crazy. He is a crook and a con artist. He's a liar. A big liar.

AUTHOR: Neal - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 21, 2006

I can't believe this man is still in business.

He is a crook and a con artist.

He's a liar. A big liar.

Funny story. Fomkin came to Manhatten and told us about the Modeling Industry. There were about 30 people listening to him as he explained how the business worked.

He was very arrogent. He acted as if he was "in the know."

He tried very hard to convince us of how great he was.

But he just ended up making a big fool out of himself when a gentlemen in the back of the room, who really was "in the know", spoke up and corrected him on everything he said.

The gentlemen basically pointed out what a liar he actually was.

I especially loved it how the gentlemen let Fomkin go on, and on, and on before he pointed out that everything he had said was fabricated and completely fraudulent.

So, it turned out, Fomkin actually knew nothing about the Industry and we had just wasted a half an hour listening to him lie to us.

He just made up a bunch of stories.

You could tell he was a little flustered and upset when the gentlemen pointed out that everything he said was fictional, but he did not offer any of us any kind of explanation as to why he made up these stories, and made us listen to him like he was God.

So we just concluded that he was completely full of s**t. He made it all up b/c he is an extremely insecure con artist.

He also told TCT employees all across the country on a conferance call the "Cindy Crawford story." He suggested that the employees incorporate this story into their sales pitch.

The "Cindy Crawford story" was a lie.

Office directors across the country started making fools out of themselves telling the false "Cindy Crawford" story.

No matter what he says, he is not "in the know."

All he knows, is how to scam people.

If anyone is considering working for this man, you may want to investigate all of the stories involving the Transcontinental Talent/ Wilhelmina Scouting network on line then re evaluate your decission.

You will not make as much money as they claim you will as a scout. (If any)

You will be working on a strictly commission.

You will make a few dollars from each talent that you enroll. He will make a few hundred.

Every dollar you make scouting, will be money you made by being a con artist, wheather or not those are your intentions.

Anyone thinking of modeling and joining Impact 210?

You also need to check out the TCT/WSN scam on line.

Fomkin was extremely active in both of those.

Also, realize that in order to get modeling jobs, the agency you are w/ needs to have clients that will hire you.

What clients does Fomkin have? Does he have any?

What exactly are you people paying for when you sign up for these services? Is the amount you are paying worth the pay out?

Do you people think that it's an intellegent choice to hand money over to a man who's previous scam was featured on Dateline NBC?

Do any of you people think that it is a wise choice to work for someone who's last business was featured on Dateline NBC?

Seriously, how is it possible for this man to still be in business?

How stupid is everyone?

If any of you ever attend an "open call" for models anywhere, pay attention to what is going on around you.

Is there a television to watch showing a promotional video, movie, or fashion show footage?

Is there loud techno music playing?

If that's the case, leave immidiately. It's a scam.

The music is set to a specfic volume for a reason. It isn't so that everyone can hear it.

It's loud so that you have too yell in order for the person sitting next to you to hear what you are saying.

So what usually ends up happening is that no one talks to anyone else and everyone just stares at the TV.

If the TV is showing a presentation, the volume will be set too loud, making it difficult to comfortably speak to the people around you.

Do you see what's being done here?

The atmosphere has allowed the con artists to con you much easier.

You come to the open call, you see other peope there, they seem fine w/ it, so it must be real.

If you have any doubts, you can not strike up a converstaion w/ the person next to you to ask what they think.

If you could speak to the people around you, you would all probably agree that you were having these doubts for a good reason, and leave.

That's the last thing these people want you to do.

They have a million tricks. That's just one of them.

A modeling agency is supposed to book you work w/ clients, then take 10-20% of your earnings.

A model should never pay anyone to "market" them or for anything else like that.

Impact 210 should not be in business. The gov't really should take responsibility and put stricter laws in to effect to prevent the scamming of unsuspecting individuals.

And people with a track record like Fomkin's shouldn't be permitted or given a license to run this type of business.

Impact WW offer sounded very good. I am looking to work from home. I am glad I found this sight.

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 11, 2006

I just completed the conference call training on Feb 9. Alot of people had questions. I tried to verify company with BBB, not registered. I tried sending email. They request that you fax a W-9 to tel# 347-287-6728. We conferenced with Michael and some of the prospective talent scouts questioned why there information was not updated after returning the W-9 or why were talent they scounted being charged more than they are suppose to be. They claim to also have a magazine. I sent a request on information to the BBB about a week and a half ago, I have not heard anything. I am glad I found this sight. I sent Impact an email stating that I no longer want to be part of this endeavor.

POSTED: Thursday, February 09, 2006

I'm extremely skeptical because: 1) is too good to be true (this always works) 2) I checked other comments about this company at www.easybackgroundcheck.com and they don't have such a clean past.. 3) somebody made me notice the "earn $ by working at home" scams, and this is a new way to hide it pretty good in an incredible job offer!

I WAS ALMOST TAKEN IN BY THESE SHARKS ..received an email through my college email address from this company stating that I would be a good candidate for a Talent Scout

AUTHOR: Ashley - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 05, 2006

I also received an email through my college email address from this company stating that I would be a good candidate for a Talent Scout. I viewed the website and I did take interest but not totally because I never thought of being a talent scout and I surely dont have the experience to become one. I look through BBB.org and they were not on that site so I decided to check here and of course I found this listing about them. Im glad I didnt try this out. So many scammers online it is not even safe to log on these days. The best to do is stick to jobs in your area and have a building you can go to lol.

Im emailing them right now and telling them to dont even consider me a candidate anymore because I have no interest in being involve with a scamming agency.

Responding to Mica (Gahanna)

AUTHOR: Stuart - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 15, 2005

Part of the scam Mica is that I also got an email from this company trying to recruit me in an industry I have no background in nor expressed any interest in (just like WSN).

I already gave a link, www.easybackgroundcheck.com/impact210.html, showing that Michael Fomkin, the principal of Impact 210, is connected to Wilhelmina Scouting Network (WSN). A review of WSN should certainly be an education as to what to expect from Impact 210 and I posted this warning beacon so that the unwary shouldn't be taken advantage of and be deceived. I won't be surprised that Impact is going to get paid for something which

won't be fulfilled based on history.
