On December 11, 2003 I received a call from Staci Jackson #079 with Imperial benefits. She told me I qualified for a credit card with a $3000 limit for only $279. All I needed to do was allow them to deduct $279 from my checking.

Stupidly, I gave them my bank acct. # and set a withdrawal date of Dec. 23. She said I would receive my card within 30 days. Mike Horvath came on the phone then to confirm everything, he was rude. They provided a tracking # that I wrote down and that was it for then.

On 12/29 I called and they said the card comes within 30 days of the draft date (12-23). On 1-14-04 I received an envelope of promotional material about paycard, truecredit, legal coverage and several other pieces of crap. I called them and said I did not receive my card and they also said I will not receive a card but an application for a card would be sent. I confirmed that the card would provide $3000 credit and they said yes.

On 1-23-04 I spoke with Jimmy Butah #007 and he apologized for application not being sent and I should receive it today. 1-26-04, Peter Smith #004 said application should be here by 28th. 1-28-04 Jimmy Butah said should receive application by the 30th. 1-30-04 Peter Blake #006 said I would receive it tomorrow. 1-31-04 nothing.

3/5/04 I maintained composure for almost 2 months and called Imperial Benefits again on march 5th at 866-233-2688 after recieving nothing. A person answered the phone and asked for my phone number and I gave both of them to him that I had previously used. The person would not give me his name but said he could not find either number and would have someone call me and the line went dead. (He hung up)

4/15/04 By this time I had lost every bit of patience and called agian to get my $279 back. I called 866-233-2688 and someone answered customer service and they asked for my phone number, I gave it and then the line went dead again. I called back and they insisted on name and my phone number and I did not give it and was put on hold. Low and behold ole Jimmy Butah came on the phone. I told him I wanted my $279 back and he said OK and it would take 10 business days.

5/14/04 I have not refund and their phone number is not working, 866-233-2688.

Another big RIP-OFF COMPANY I will contribute money to get them it we have a chance. I do not ever expect my money back but my ethics and values do not condone this theivery and deception and deceit.

AUTHOR: Dawn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 01, 2004

On January 9,2004 I too received a call from a
female stating that I qualified for a credit card
and with my sometimes too trusting self and also
never having a credit card, agreed. The female
swithced me over to a gentleman who verified my
bank account among other information said that my
account would be debited on January the 15th,
2004 for $279.00. On the 15th it was debited.
Weeks later a manilla envelope appeared in the
mail with a bunch of advertisements and coupons
for trips. I called the 1-866-233-2688 number and
spoke with Mr. Buddha. He told me to send 30.00
and I would then receive my card in two weeks. I
argued and told him that that's not in the verbal
agreement we had on the phone. I called two
weeks later around 4:30 pm and was on hold until
4:55 pm and then a so called customer service
representative said please hold we somehow were
disconnected(wouldn't ya know) and when i tried
to call back , the recording stated they were
closed because by then it was after 5:00 pm. I
finally got through a few days later and spoke
with Jimmy, again, and he told me my bank account
would be credited that Friday. The weirdest thing
is I did not even give the SOB my name, when he
answered the phone.. If there is anyone out
there who receives a call from these cruddy
lowdown animals who prey on innocent hard working
citizens. They must be stopped and by the grace
of God they will be...Could you even imagine how
much of a profit these people have made with our
money..
