I was looking forward to our trip. After the first 90 minute presentation that ended after 5 hours and some made sales people that offered us a timeshare for $3999 and wouldn't let us leave I thought we were home free to enjoy the fabulous vacation they promised us. NOPE!
We boarded an itty bitty boat and sailed to Freeport- NOT Nassau as we were promised in writing. They boat was small and made my husband and nearly everyone else sick.
When we got back we drove to Orlando and sat through another Vacation Village presentation that I knew word-for-word from the first 5 hour session. This time it only lasted 4 hours because we told them NO- and that our form letter told us 90 minutes. The tour guide that drove us away from our car wouldn't take us back to it- he got wierd about us embarrassing him and told us he was going to lose his job because we didn't buy.
The second guy came to make the offer and we said NO- as we were not obligated to purchase! The third guy came over and lost his temper on us- he got up to leave and turned around and threw the paperwork in our faces exclaiming "he wasn't going to allow us to take his job from him".
Yes- I was confused...Where is the NO OBLIGATION to purchase from our contract? The fourth guy came over and gave us the $3999 deal and told us that our Tour guide wasn't going to take us back to our car because he was mad. We took the shuttle and hadn't ever been so mad in all our lives!
We flew in on Saturday night- did the first tour for 5 hours on Sunday- left for our boat ride on Monday- Took the second tour for 4 hours on Thursday and had to leave on Friday at 7am.
NOT MUCH OF A VACATION! We are watching our credit cards, etc for more rip offs- so far they have charged us to give money to a school and a safe we never used!
Can it get worse? I hope not.
