I received an email advertisement for imusic and an offer to purchase a sample of the allegedly brain-enhancing musice for $4.98. I agreed to that purchase and only that.
I discovered today that I am being charged $34.95 per month for the privilege of receiving some discount on imusic I do not want and which is outrageously over-priced. Not only have I been charged $34.95, I am allegedly locked into a 4-month contract.
I pay volition thought house $34.95 per month for the privilege of paying volition thought house $34.95. No other benefit inures to me.
I have sought clarification from the company and received an email saying there is nothing I can do about this because I am locked into a 4 month contract.
I hope this will serve as a warning to potential buyers who are contemplating the purchase of imusic - don't! at least not from this company.

A note from Volition Client Care
AUTHOR: Volitionth - (Canada)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, September 16, 2009
We would like to address some of the information outlined in this customers post.
This issue is due to a miscommunication.
Customers are sent a sample CD through our SilverPass program. This is an exclusive offer for customers in which, customers are rewarded with 50 Volition points = $50.00 USD that can be redeemed in our Volition Store, on a monthly basis, while on the SilverPass, in return for paying only $34.95.
***This means that customers are actually saving/accumulating appropriately 15.00 dollars every month just by committing to our short term subscription.
We don't force customers into selecting any products they don't wish to have by sending out random CD selections, and Volition Points do not expire. We frequently update titles and genre selections to ensure a variety! Customers may spend their points throughout the length of their contract or accumulate them until the contract commitment (4 months) has been completed. At that time customers are to remove themselves from the SilverPass program by signing into their accounts and unsubscribing.
In the agreement, customers are required to contact us, or return the CD within 30 days. We have intentionally provided an insert with the mailing of the CD, inviting clients to review the terms of service, again to ensure they are aware of the details of the offer. This is included in hopes of avoiding this issue.
Because of copyright and our patented technology, we do not accept returns. We have a strict return policy to protect ourselves and our consumers. This is especially important given that this is a brain entrainment tool, and the misuse of iMusic could produce anything from unsatisfactory results to very real medical issues.
RETURN POLICY* Because of the piracy and copyright risks inherent in CD media and music file downloads, we do not accept iMusic returns or order cancellations* once a CD order has shipped, or once a music download order has been placed. This is standard in the music and software industry. Orders cannot be canceled once a media shipment is dispatched from our distribution centre, or once an order containing any downloadable material has been placed.
SUBSCRIPTION POLICY* Once a iMusic Pass subscription begins, there are specific lock in periods and terms that govern each subscription. By agreeing to enter into an iMusic Pass subscription, you agree to pay the allotted amount, at the frequency expressed, during the full term of the subscription. We agree to deliver the service that the subscription entails. If your means of payment is found to be invalid or not able to be charged and your subscription account is found to be in default, than a secondary means of payment needs to be supplied within 10 days that this necessity is requested or monetary penalties will be applied to the account in default. Volition strives to provide the best subscription service possible and only asks that those clients who enter into a subscription allow Volition to serve them as promised.
Volition Thought House advises it's customers 1) throughout the website of the details of the initial offer, and condenses the information at the bottom of the page- directly below a large "subscribe" button, as well as 2) on an insert that is included in the package at the point of delivery.
The Client Care Team at Volition Thought House would like to urge any questions or concerns to please be directed at us prior to purchasing anything you are unsure of. We sincerely believe in customer care and would like to apologize for any misunderstandings that have occurred.
