I almost fell into the scam that is In Store Advantage Solutions on account that it is a BBB accredited business. The fact is it is 9-9 today and the company was apparently founded on 8-31 according to the BBB. This is strange from a company that claims to have big business partners and has been posting job offers for months.

The fact is nothing adds up about this place. The website sells no product, only reasons why it would be so stinking awesome to work for them. The BBB accreditation is bogus, and if there hadn't have already been reports of scam and identity theft on the internet, I just might have given them my resume, bank information, SS, and all the other information that is on the application.

If you are that desperate for a job, and decide to go in, please do not give them any of your personal information until you know exactly what you will be doing, at what time for what price and do not sign or fill out ANYTHING until you have read every word of fine print. I chose to not go through with it, and I hope you don't either.

In Store Advantage is a legitimate sales marketing firm

AUTHOR: Dominique B. - ()

POSTED: Thursday, November 14, 2013

I came across this report about In Store Advantage on Google, and wanted to say that there is no reason to question this company's legitimacy, or the job opportunities they offer. I've worked for In Store Advantage Solutions (this is their full registered name), and had had a very satisfactory experience. I gained valuable sales experience, which is exactly what I was looking for. The Branch Manager was a good boss who I am pleased to say was very supportive and upfront with his team. My fellow associates (there are normally 30-50 employees) are great team players and have been very friendly. Aside from the sales team, there are a few office employees.

The entry-level position that all applicants are offered is a direct sales marketing position. In this position, we represent our two large clients, DirecTV and Vizio.

In Store Advantage has been in business for about 4 years, and about a year ago, switched owners. Whether or not the company was registered with the BBB when it first started business operations, I don't know because I've only worked under the branch manager.

Anyone who is looking for a stable sales marketing position that offers great commission rates and incentives should feel completely comfortable applying with this company. I am more than certain if you call our office, our administrative assistant or any other office personnel will be happy to answer any questions or doubts you may have about something you've read or heard about the company.

Why all the fuss?!

AUTHOR: Katie_G - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 06, 2013

So, here's my opinion, or I guess I should say, here's my thoughts.....I'm not quite sure what all the fuss and slander is all about, regarding the legitimacy of this company.  Perhaps, those who wrote negative comments were previous employees and it just so happened that it wasn't the right company or the right career path for you specifically.  However, just because it's not the right match for you, does that mean it's not the right path for everyone?  Does that mean, because you didn't like the work they did, that the company is somehow a scam?  I just don't get it?!

I applied to their posting on Monster, the title of the ad was, "Retail / Marketing / Sales / DirecTV / Customer Service", I got a call the day after, sometime in the afternoon from a girl named Lindsey.  She was really sweet, I liked her.  She explained to me the gist of the position in which I applied for, and thought it seemed interesting, so I was glad to be asked to come in for an interview, to further understand the specifics and get a better feel for what the company is all about.

I met with Rich, he was a really cool guy.  I was super nervous and I remember telling him I had a degree in PR a hundred times, hoping he would think that would be really beneficial and come in good hands for the position.  He could tell I was nervous and straight up said, "don't be nervous, I'm just another guy asking the same questions anybody else would ask in an interview."  I felt a lot better.  Needless to say, he was cool and I wanted to learn more about the organization, so when I was invited back for a second round interview, I was stoked!

I went to the Best Buy off of Slaughter and met with one of his account managers.  My second interview was about 45 minutes to an hour.  I was told the ins and outs of how the business worked.  I clearly understood what I would have to do to be successful in the company.  I understood the program.  Perhaps, those who wrote negative comments did not understand the process, or how the business runs.  That's fine, but some people do 'get it'.  So why, if you personally, don't understand, or just don't like the company or don't feel as if it's the right position for you, must you write negative things about the legitimacy of the company.  It's SLANDER, people.

Also, if the company was a 'scam', would Fortune 500 retailers allow them to be in their store, 'scamming' people?  Highly doubtful.  That would obviously jeopardize their reputation and business.  Think about that.

Anyhow, that's all.  I just wanted to throw my input out there.  I hope those who read this, will stop and think about how this company could not be a scam in any way shape or form.  Go to the Best Buys, Sam's Clubs, Fry's Electronics, and look for the DIRECTV guys in the TV Department.  If you don't see them, ask a manager where you can find the DIRECTV guys.  Guess what, they're there, and they're real!

Here's the truth, I too was weary when I did my homework and saw the 'Blog Scam,' and the 'Rip Off Report' before I interviewed.  So, I called the BBB and asked if the company was legitimate.  Yes, they were.  They have an A- rating, only because they've been in business less than four years.  Call BBB if you think otherwise.

THANKS!

WATCH OUT FOR IN STORE ADVANTAGE

AUTHOR: Joe - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, October 01, 2012

THIS COMPANY BEGINS TO FALSIFY THEIR INTENTIONS FROM THE VERY BEGINNING BEFORE YOU EVER EVEN SPEAK TO A EMPLOYEE.  THEIR JOB POSTING ADS HAVE SAID A MILLION DIFFERENT UNTRUE "FEATURES" OF THE JOB.  LIKE GAS REIMBURSEMENT, WHAT A JOKE.  NOT WHEN I WORKED THERE.  AND YOU'LL BE DRIVING OUT OF STATE IF YOU LET THEM PRESSURE YOU INTO IT.  STAYING IN $20/NIGHT HOTELS WITH DRUGS ADDICTS WALKING AROUND HOPING YOU DON'T GET HELD UP.  THE WORST PART ABOUT In Store Advantage (ISA) IN AUSTIN, TX (THEY HAVE DIFFERENT COMPANY NAMES IN EACH STATE/CITY TO AVOID LEGAL ACTION FROM THERE EX EMPLOYEES, I DIGRESS, ITS THE LACK OF PAY AND SANITY!!!!!!!

THEY COMPLETELY SCREWED ME WHEN I WAS HIRED ON SAYING THEY "GUARANTEE" ME A WEEKLY PAY, LIKE ANY OTHER NORMAL JOB IN AMERICA, YOU WORK, YOU GET PAID. THIS ISN'T HOW THEY WORK

THEY OPEN UP A BAR TAB IF YOU WILL ON YOU!!! YOUR WELL BEING, AND YOU PAYCHECK.

DIRECT TV REPS (THAT'S ALL YOU'LL SELL DON'T LET THEM FOOL YA!) THAT WILL INSTALL YOUR SALE, WILL CANCEL YOUR SALE AND SIGN THE CUSTOMER RIGHT BACK UP UNDER THEIR NAME.  THATS RIGHT, EMPLOYEES THAT ARE AUTHORIZED TO INSTALL YOUR SALE, WILL STEAL YOUR SALE(& $).  I WISH I WAS MAKING THIS UP.

SO COME TO FIND OUT, MOST PLACES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE DIRECT TV, NOT BECAUSE TIME WARNER GETS THE JOB DONE FOR HALF THE HASSLE, BUT BECAUSE OF THE SATELLITE ON THE BUILDING.   SO SELL YOUR HEART OUT ALL WEEK, SIX DAYS A WEEK, THEN YOU'LL SEE THAT HALF THE PEOPLE WILL CANCEL ANYWAYS, MAKING YOU START BACK AT THE BEGINNING WITH NO MONEY BUT THE TAB YOU OWE YOUR BOSS.  ITS A "DRAW" SET UP HE'LL PAY YOU, BUT THEN YOU OWE HIM THAT MONEY NEXT WEEK.  SO HAVE A GOOD WEEK, AND ITS EVENS OUT TO NOTHING BECAUSE HE TOOK THE $2,000 YOU OWED HIM FOR WORKING FOR HIM 24 DAYS LAST MONTH.  SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE I WAS HARDLY EVER IN THE HOLE AND I STILL WANTED TO QUIT EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE WHILE I WORKED FOR THEM. I WORKED THERE UNFORTUNATELY FOR A YEAR EXACTLY TILL I HAD FINALLY HAD A ENOUGH.  AND ILL NEVER GET THAT YEAR BACK :(  AS LONG AS YOUR FINE WITH WORKING FROM 9:00AM-10:00PM AND WORKING FOR "FREE" AND LISTENING TO A GROUND HOG DAY SCENARIO (TO THE T, EVERYDAY) IN THE OFFICE LIKE A PARROT ISA WOULD SADLY WORK.  IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER 1/4 OZ OF ENERGY TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE, DO IT I BEG YOU.  THE PEOPLE IN THE RETAIL STORES HAVE HEARD THE SALES PITCH 10X OVER DON'T DO THIS TO YOURSELF.  IF ALL THOSE SHOPPERS WANTED THE PRODUCT THEY WOULD ALREADY HAVE IT, AND IF THEY DON'T HAVE IT BY NOW, THEY ARE NOT SIGNING UP.  AT THIS POINT YOU'D BE CRAZY TO TRY TO CONTINUE BEATING THE DEAD HORSE. I AM NOT CHALLENGING ANYONE'S ABILITY, I JUST REMEMBER OVER A YEAR AGO WHEN THE PROGRAM WAS ALREADY A FEW YEARS OLD, I WOULD GO UP TO A RANDOM SHOPPER IN THE GROCERY STORE THEY SET UP SHOP IN, EGGS 'N ALL AND I WOULD GET THE FINGER, GET TOLD OFF, ETC, IN SOME FORM OR ANOTHER.  SO STRAP YOUR BOOTS ON LADIES AND GENTLEMEN BECAUSE IF YOU DO TAKE THE LEAP WITH ISA PREPARE TO BE "REJECTED" AS THEY PUT IT  ALL DAY, SIX DAYS A WEEK.   I USUALLY SPOKE TO ABOUT A HUNDRED PEOPLE A DAY.  ALSO AT THE END OF THE DAY, THE STORES YOUR IN USUALLY DON'T APPRECIATE YOUR PRESENCE AND THEY'LL MAKE YOUR LIFE HELL JUST WITH THAT ASPECT ALONE.  IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ASSUME THE WORST ANSWER, BECAUSE LIKE I SAID THEIR JOB ADS AREN'T EVEN RELEVANT IN THE SLIGHTEST MANNER.  THEY'LL HIRE JUST ABOUT ANYONE TOO.

In Store Advantage Solutions, Inc. is a Real Company that Gives People an Amazing Oppertunity

AUTHOR: Brittany West - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 10, 2011

When a friend told me that they had seen a negative remark about my company on Ripoffreport.com, I was rather surprised, seeing that we are not even close to being a 'rip off'.

Not only am I the Exec. Administrative Assistant for In Store Advantage Solutions, Inc., but I'm also an Account Manager so I get to see every aspect of the company.  My boss is really nice to all of us, and wants to see us do well.

Our BBB accreditation is legit, and they can be contacted at their office anytime to validate it.

We never ask for any bank information from any of the employees, and because I started out at the  bottom and worked my way up, I know that bank information has never been asked for.

When someone is hired, we do have a background check performed just so that we know we are looking out for the best interest of our clients, just like any other reputable company would do.

Our company is built around a 6 month training program where you end up not only being an Owner/Manager, but you are also given an opportunity run a branch office.  Since I've been in the program I have learned an impeccable amount of various topics that have never been touched upon by any other company that I have worked for.

I trained under my Owner/Manager, Dave Ortiz, and I'm so thankful for his expertise!  Dave now runs a branch for the company and is doing rather well.  Even tho he has been promoted out, he still checks in with me weekly to make sure that I'm still pumped about the program and that I'm achieving my weekly goals and doing the proper steps to build my own team.

I can honestly say that I'm incredibly lucky to have been given this opportunity that is going to allow me to teach, train, and lead others.
