Indiana Custom Truck Dba/ICT Changed the deal on me LaGrange, Indiana

I have ordered 2 custom truck sleepers from ICT in the past and each one was what I asked for. Each sleeper, including genset and installation costs an average $75000 and my proposed 3rd would run about the same.
Elwin Eash knew of my requirement that the sleeper had to be completed and installed by mid March. They had found a buyer for my present sleeper in December, 2004 and a check for $25000 was going to be issued to ICT as the down payment on the new sleeper the minute I was to pull into their shop to have my present sleeper removed and the new one installed.



The financing for the remaining $50000 had been approved by Paccar Financial Corp and was ready once ICT submitted an invoice to them.

I was dealing with a new salesperson named Bonnie who was still learning about truck sleepers and we lost precious time because she had to defer to others for answers to questions I was asking. I also had the option of purchasing items that they did not supply and there is a charge to include them in the building process. I purchased $2000 of LED lights, and $600 of other electronics for the new sleeper.

I was never rude but firm and businesslike at all times with Bonnie. However, I guess the pressure was too much for her and she complained to Elwin. They began to act as if I was doing them a favor by buying their sleeper.
Elwin Eash emailed me and said I owed her an apology, which I refused to do, because I had done nothing wrong. He also said I needed a substantial down payment up front before they would start building it, as if one third down was not already enough, and they would not guarantee delivery during the time designated but would install it at their convience.

Because I would lose too much income and have to rent a car and a motel room for 2/3 weeks I would not approve of this.

Naturally, after a waste of a month, loss of income, and their dishonesty, the deal fizzled, which is what they wanted to happen so I will never do business with them again. There are too many other custom truck sleeper manufacturers to choose from.
