We had used this vendor before on several jobs for internet design and system integration. While they had difficulty keeping and meeting deadlines, we were able to get many of the projects completed and we had 3 more projects in progress.
They also bid on a larger development project for us PHP/MySql and it was for $2800. They asked for the 50% up front and payment upon completion of the project.
We transferred $1,400 to their account and basically never heard from them again.
In addition, the last 3 projects were never completed so we had to hire another company to complete them for us. This was after much of the payments were made for them to complete the work. We were dealing with the CEO Ajit Ray.
I have over 25 years experience in high technology. We are very fair when dealing with our vendors in terms of price, schedules, technical specifications and dead lines. We know problems appear and difficulties occur and work with our vendors to adjust our plans and compensate anyone for additional work. In this specific instance, the vendor clearly abused the trust built into our relationship and ripped us off.
(If anyone is interested, we have ticket logs to verify anything we are posting here today.)
We canceled the project and was refunded the project fees by GetAFreelancer.com, of $84.00.
