We bought a house and used our previous home for extra income. I have RA and my husband is retiring in a few years. We thought the income would useful. The company we first used sold our loan to Indy Mac and we were not informed. We continued to pay the other company then we received a late payment statement from Indy Mac. We got this finally resolved. We rented our former home and things were fine until the renters started hoarding. The contract stated NO pets. They had two large dogs and cats. The city codes in forcemeat sent them numerous letters the clean up as did we. They refused and stopped paying rent. We had to have them evicted. They had destroyed the inside of my home. The animals had used the front room as a toilet. It was so bad the urine had soaked into the floor and went into the basement. It took about 10 months to tear out walls floors sinks toilets ect . We still tried to make payments and continue todo repairs. Eventually we got behind. We tried to get a loan modification in August of 2010. They never sent anything they just kept calling. I received 4 and 5calls daily. Then I was informed my home was due to go into forcloser in November of 2011. I was told on November 9 2011 if I sent 3,945.00 my loan would be current. I didn't have that much money so I asked my mother to borrow the money. She not only let me have the money but she wrote a check for 4,000 to be sure that was enough that day. The money had to be there by Nov. 15 or they couldn't stop forcloser. We sent the check registered mail and had it sent over night. However the 9 th was Friday. No one was there Saturday or Sunday. Monday was a Holliday but the check was signed for on the13 th. they held my check for about 10 days and said they didn't have it. I also sent the statement with 3,945.00 on it. I was told they didn't know any thing about that statement. They had no record of it. I have had to hire a lawyer and still may lose my home. This company was bailed out of bankruptcy by our government and continues to take our citizens hard earned money and putting families out of their homes. This company needs to be held accountable carol
