I applied for a Loan Modification with IndyMac Mortgage Services over 3 yrs ago & I am still waiting to get an answer from them. They paid my property taxes (approx 17,000) 3 yrs ago & then turned around increased my monthly mortgage from 2,800/month to almost 5,888/month.

I informed them that there way no way I could come up with an additional 3,000/month and that I would continue to pay the $2800/month until I get an answer on the loan modification. I have made and I continue to pay 2,900/month on time.

I applied for the loan modification and was informed that it would take 6 months to a year to get an answer. I kept calling & they kept sayihng the paper work is being reviewd. I waited one full year and never go an answer/written report from them.

After one year thay stated the laws changed & that I would have to resubmit a "second" application. I did and the same thing happed all over again. They kept asking me to fax the same documents over and over and I never got an answer.

They famous statments are- (1). "We are here for you and we can't move on to the next step until you send up these documents", (2). "Time has passed and papers you previously submitted have expired, please send them again".

My situation was a simple issue that could have been resolved a long time ago with a simple loan modification, instead I was asked to submit a "third"application again and here it is three years later and I still don't have an answer from them.

Here is the best part - "They have delayed this loan modification process for so long that while I am making monthly payments of 2,900/month on time, they are charging me 5,800/month and I keep falling behind as per their charges month-by-month.

This entire experience with IndyMac has been the worst thing that I have ever had to deal with. They should be ashamed of themselves and what they are doing to good hard working people who are trying to hold on to the "American Dream".

I won't walk away from this matter because it is my home. All that I am asking IndyMac Mortgage Servcices to do is COMPLETE my "third" loan modification application so I can move on with my life. I will continue to make my monthly payments while I await an answer from IndyMac.
