Indymac - Onewest Loan Modification - Indymac bunch of liars! Austin, TXAustin Texas

Let me begin by stating that I have been calling Indymac since in 7/2008. Requesting that they please look at my loan because I felt that I was going to be going under if they did not review my case.

I am a single mother with only one income. When I bought my townhouse, my realtor & escrow company reasurred me that in a couple of years I would be able to refinance into a lower fixed rate.

After 3 years I have called Indymac numerous time.

Finally in 11/2008, a rep at Indymac said to fill out my financials online and they would review and get back to me. After 3 weeks, I called Indymac and the rep said: no, you need to be at least a month behind, before we will look at any paperwork. He suggested I print out the financials and fax them for review. I did what they asked. Again 3 weeks later I called. Now it is 1/2009. I can only make a partial payment, the rep said we don't take partials payment.

In 2/2009, I called Indymac because I received a letter in the mail being denied for modification. I was so scared I called Indymac, asking for options on how I could possible keep my home. The rep was an absolute uncaring person. I told him about the denial letter I had received. He said he didn't see that on his computer. Well, I asked, am I denied or not? The rep said: well, if the letter says you are, then you are. I asked what are my options, rep: make more income, reduce your depts. I chimed in, and said or foreclose...his answer, yes, you can do that too.

I have been trying to do a loan modification since the begining of 2009. Indymac has taken 7 mos to review my financials. Finally after 7 months, I received a modification package with a repayment plan from Indymac with a deadline of 7/24/09. I UPS overnight (a prepaid envelope that was included in their modification package) out all the documents plus a certified check that Indymac requested on 7/15/09. Indymac received it on 7/16/2009. That same day a letter was sent out, stating that I wasn't approved.

I also received my certified cashiers check that was requested with the signed documents back with a letter stating that Indymac doesn't accept business or personal checks...HELLO! it says certified check! Indymac said it was the wrong amount, I checked their requests, and I wasn't wrong! How can Indymac approve documents in one day that has taken 7 months previously? I was on the phone with Indymac again, transfer here, transfer there, state your address a million times. Now I am in foreclosure affective 8/19/2009. Indymac also mentioned that I did not send all documents required, 2 paystubs and the 4506-T...funny, I have copies of every thing I have sent them

I have not asked to reduce my dept, I only asked to make my payments a little more affordable.

The stress that I have been under has been unbearable. Indymac needs to be held accountable for having all homeowners believe that there is a possiblity of working with them. They have lied to me from day ONE!
