I was buying a home from this company in Romney WVA. We inspected told Ken what the repairs needed done. He offered us this fixer up home for 1299k offered to knock off 29k in repairs as we did them.  We were told the home was fine to live in while we did the repairs. We took a contractor and found out the second floor was ready to fall in. We were told that the existing well was not for that property by the contractor and Berkley Springs water authority. The local electric company said they could knock turn on electric because of bare wires exposed. I had contacted Berkley Spring RE Assessment office to inquire about this property. The assessor went to the property and told us the home did not exist in there records and after her seeing it she said it was considered condemned and unhabitable and the 3 acres he said it was which was actually 2.6 acres was assesses at 54k. I could not apply for a hud 503k rehabilitation loan. When we contacted Ken he told me all of the companies were not true and we were lying. I put down 650 and took a title loan against my car to purchase appliances,cabinets and supplies totalling 3400 and had paid $1596 interest payments before paying off the 3400 loan from my taxes. My bank told me he submitted paperwork with no proof we signed and also said that we are responsible for the payments until he sells the home.
