Because IDS is a driver lease company, it is not forced dispatch. I made it quite clear to Lisa Lyle that under no circumstance could I work on Saturdays. She agreed and for the next year I worked for IDS. I took everything they threw at me. I felt I did a great job for them and even though they would screw me $25.00 here and there, I got pretty good miles and had my Saturdays off. One of the companies I was leased to,(Ryder), had some kind of problem they asked their employees to work on a Saturday. I, not being an employee, told them that I wouldn't be able to work that Saturday so the next thing I knew Lisa called me and pulled me off the run and I haven't heard from IDS since. The following week when I got my check, it was $625.00 short. I called and she would not come to the phone. This is a cowardly and vindictive person that cancelled Christmas for my children and grandchildren. Bottom Line: Never work for an 11:30 girl with a tramp stamp!

#3 UPDATE Employee
Truck drivers DO NOT MAKE $625.00 a day

How in the world could this lazy truck driver accuse a company of not paying it $625 dollars a day and still stay in business. I as a driver would kill to make $625 a day to sit on my BIG FAT BUTT and make that kind of money....This person who ever he is could in no way make that amount of money for a single days wages.....I would like it if this person would contact me with Lisa Lyle's phone number so that she could hire me and pay me $625 a day. I WOULD WORK CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY, CHRISTMAS NIGHT EVEN SATURDAY'S just to make that amount of money just to sit on my BIG FAT BUTT....And by the way his co-driver completed the run for Ryder because this person didn't want to work due to his religion. The King James Version on the bible says OX IN THE DITCH which means even Jesus himself worked on his SABBATH. If this poor sap was only spending $625.00 for all those kids it must not be much of a Christmas after all. I know Lisa Lyle personally and she would NEVER I SAY AGAIN NEVER!!!!! do this to anyone that worked for her and how dare this LAZY TRUCK DRIVER use his religion as a crutch to get out of work. He is a PIG.....

Of course I contacted IDS as soon as the office opened the next morning. They had two full days to find a replacement. As far why I need Saturdays off, a lot of people drive trucks and have to have certain days off, for example:Sundays! Maybe you don't have a life and are satisified being a drone. Regardless, that doesn't give anyone the right to steal your hard earned money out of your paycheck. How would you feel if you worked hard all week and some vindictive low life stole $625.00 from your check? How can you justify that?

Gee a world where employees dictate their working hours to their bosses

Sounds like she worked with you for the most part and did her best to accommodate your requests. One small question though, why didn't you tell her they wanted you to work Saturday (since she is your boss even though she leased you to them. Unless you have really good reasons not to work Saturday the least you could have done was remind her (personally). I am sure the conversation from Ryder went something like "You know that driver you leased to us, he didn't show up today".
That way she could have worked on having someone scheduled to work for you that day.
Just a thought considering YOU WORK FOR HER RIGHT??
