It is my understanding that Aspire IRB is a group of people who perform independent reviews of research in order to safeguard the health and safety of research subjects. I would like to receive some information where or with whom I could file a formal complaint against Innovative Research of West Florida in Clearwater, Florida.

 

On or around October 2014 I completed the Pre-Screening for study LY3016859 and after that they decided I wasn't eligible to continue with the process, however and according to the documents signed, they needed to pay me for my time when I was there. They want to open an issue for only $ 59.00 but they took advantage of me.

 

I am evaluating all my options at this time including but not limited to involve the sponsor pharmaceutical laboratory (Eli Lilly and Company) as well as the local media in Tampa Bay.  It is really sad and abusive to see how companies like Innovative Research of West Florida Inc., Dr. Miguel Trevino as a Principal Investigator Director and his nurses and personnel supporting him not only are taking advantage of people like me using us for experimenting purposes but then not following what you are saying in writing or documents signed. This kind of practice is misleading, deceptive and fraudulent when at the very end, pharmaceutical laboratories are making billions of dollars with medications but mainly abusing the Hispanic and African American community.
