I too am one of hundreds who have been taken by Inphonics/A1Wireless' deceptive rebate program. I also bought a phone through them not realizing the "almost impossible" requirements to get the "promised" rebate.
I bought my phone through A1 Wireless in December 2005. It has taken two months to meet their requirements before I could send the rebate forms in. Since then, they have refused to provide answers (after numerous emails) as to why it takes up to THREE months for them to PROCESS the rebate and mail it out.
I too am going to file a cmplaint against them with the FTC.
It seems they do everything possible to make it as hard as possible to get your rebate. Once you have jumped through all their hoops and completed these requirements, then they sit on the rebates hoping you will forget about it and they don't have to keep their promise to make the rebate.
Never have I dwelt with a company of such dishonest means!
