Instant UPC codes sold me a unusable, fake bar code number (UPC). Their bar codes are from GS1 but are not part of the class action suit of 2002 which means that they can't be owned by individuals. GS1 has stated that the code that Instant issued was not thiers to issue and that sites like there's provide no proof that what they sell is legal. I tried to call and email my complaint to the site but had no response. This site is also on George Laurer's (the inventor of the upc) black list. This means this site has refused to provide proof that what they sell is legal and how they aquired their bar code numbers. This site needs to be taken down, it is hurting and missleading countless small businesses and opening them up to lawsuits from GS1.

Instant upc code is a ripoff

AUTHOR: nique b. - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, February 01, 2016

Whether Intant Upc Code (IUC) sells legitimate codes  or not is not my issue. IUC takes the money and never sends the codes. I have tried more than several times to contact the company by email and phone. The phone number goes straight to voicemail with no return call given. I even tried to complain on BBB but the name does not come up. Beware of this company. I am not surprise the codes don't work.  They are thieves and ripoff artist.

False Ripoff Report / We sell 100% Authentic UPC Codes

AUTHOR: Instant UPC Codes - ()

POSTED: Thursday, December 18, 2014

The information within this ripoff report is false. We only sell 100% legal and authentic UPC codes which originated from the UCC (Now known as GS1) from prefixes that date prior to Aug. 28th 2002. Furthermore, we are not listed on George Laurer’s (Inventor of the UPC Barcode) blacklist.

George Laurer (Inventor of the UPC Barcode) is one of the founders of the Authenticated UPC Registration Directory. We are a current and active member of the directory. Upon accessing the website of the Authenticated UPC Registration Directory, you will find our company name listed as one of the Authenticated UPC Resellers. Another feature of the Authenticated UPC Registration Directory is the ability to search by UPC code to ensure that the UPC code issued to you is the verified reseller for that UPC number.

In order to become an authenticated upc reseller at the directory, you must provide proof of UPC prefix ownership or other documentation which proves that you own the legal rights to sell UPC codes from that prefix. The reason that the directory is a credible source to trust is because each prefix from which we sell UPC codes from, we must provide specific documentation to the directory to manually verify.

If we sold UPC codes that we do not own the rights to legally sell, then we would no longer be an active member at the directory. This type of authentication process ensures that a UPC reseller does not simply provide documentation to sell UPC codes from one prefix and then goes on to sell fake or non-authentic UPC codes at a later date.

As of the time of writing this rebuttal we are currently the only UPC reseller which makes the following promise to each and every one of our customers on our website: “We stand behind our UPC codes and only sell 100% authentic UPC codes which the prefix will always be registered with the Authenticated UPC Registration Directory.”

Another false statement within this complaint is the following: “I tried to call and email my complaint to the site but had no response.” We take care of each and every customer support email and request within 24 hours or less. Most of these support requests are handled within 12 hours or less.

We are company who stands behind our products, whether it is from the physical barcode related products that we sell or our digital products such as UPC, EAN and SCC-14 codes. We are always here for our customers first and foremost before anything else.
