I canceled my subscription on 8/2/12 and was told that my credit card would be credited my remaining balance and I would no longer receive leads.  On 8/9/12 I started to receive leads again.  I logged in to the website and had to put my subscription on "vacation mode" to stop the leads from coming.  My account was never canceled and my balance was never refunded.  After several unsuccessful phone calls and bouts with hold, I finally had the patience to wait through the hold time to talk to a person.  Jennifer answered the phone and stated that she could see in the notes where I called to cancel on 8/02/12.  Jennifer transferred me to Greg Remaklus.  I stated me problem to Greg who told me that they had no record of my call on 8/02/12. When I asked him how Jennifer was able to see the notes and tell me the date I called in, he said he wasn't sure and that if I did call in, it  was my fault for not completing the cancellation process.  When the representative I spoke with on 8/02/12 told me my card would be refunded and my account was canceled, I figured that meant I was done.  Greg then told me he would cancel my account today and refund my balance of $100 but not the $31.50 for the leads they sent on 8/9/12.  This is unacceptable!  It is not my fault that one  of their team members did not do their job properly.  I asked to speak with Greg's supervisor and was told that he is in charge and the only one above him is Jeff Grant, CEO of Bankrate.  I asked to speak with Jeff Grant and he laughed and said nobody talks to Jeff Grant!

This is not even about the $31.50.  It is about Insureme not owning up to their mistake and trying to take advantage of me.  There is no reason I should be responsible for them not cancelling my account when I requested it on 8/02/12.

Insure me has refunded my money and apologized.  They have also stated that they have added "additional training and proper steps to prevent future issues like this that have already occurred"  I accept their apology and wish them success in the future.
