Boy, were we dooped...

After spending hours filling out the required paperwork, purchasing the required 100,000 liability coverage, taking/sending photos of before work, doing all the work (which we had to purchase all of the supplies and pay labor from our own pockets), constantly taking photos during the work process, sending completion photos, doing work that had an addendum for work not on original work order....we are 2 months out and still no money.  Well, let me correct that...after MANY phone calls, each person put the blame onto another department.  After calling the OTHER department, the girls in the office are ALWAYS in a meeting and cannot answer or they have closed for the day or they took a day off...you get the picture ! 

Today, October 23, 2012, we finally recieved a check for 50% of an amount that THEY said was due, which was actually about a thousand dollars LESS than the amended amount after the addendums.  The check is dated SEPTEMBER 6, 2012, which is 6 full weeks before we actually recieved the check.  Where has this check been all this time?  Well, they told us last week that it was sent out on Thursday, October 18, 2012.  WHY did they sit on this check all this time?  Maybe when we take them to court they will show the judge the date on the check and say that we just didn't deposit it...Now, WHEN we will ever get all of the other monies due to us?

Unfortunately, we have already completed a second job for them.  Invoiced completed work many weeks ago, still no word on when the money will come or IF it will come.

They had a whole separate agreement with a pool company to replace a pool pump and do pool cleaning.  This had NOTHING whatsoever to do with our work order....BUT, they are still holding our money because the pool company dragged their feet.  Again, this had nothing to do with our work or our agreement.

I am ready to fight this in court.
