An acquaintance, formerly from work, has used my address as his own for the past two years(without by permission). Letters to him requesting overdue taxes, fines, warrents, etc. have come to my address and not to him. He now lives in another state and he has no received any of this mail even though I've told him about it.
I know his name, his cell phone number, his present town and state, and his email address. I DO NOT however, know his present street address, because he won't give it to me. I want his address so that people who are after him for money will send their requests directly to him and not to me. I have nothing to do with any of it. (In the meantime I keep writing "return to sender" on mail for him, telling them this individual does not live at my address. They, however, keep sending their requests for money to me.
In an attempt to track down this individual's street address, I used INTELIUS people find. I answered many questions for Intelius about this individual. Then, when I clicked further into web site, the cost for getting several items of information was too high for me, about $45, if I recall correctly, so I didn't take it. However, they had another slot where one could enter a cell phone number and get information from that for ONLY $15. That included a name and address, and it was the address which I was after anyway, so I purchased it. After keying in his cell phone number, Intelius came back with his name only, which I already knew. There was no address given.
I called Intelius' customer service # 425-974-6100 and their excuse was that their computer system doesn't know "what I already know". True, however, I had already punched in this individual's name along with lots of other information so it's very possible it knew what I know. Also, I told them that their sample showed a street address being given, which is what convinced me to use the service.
The customer service woman told me that it says in small print that SOME information will be given, but there is no guarantee that ALL will be given if it isn't known. In other words, I pre-paid $15 for a name I already knew, which I consider to be a rip off.
I might add that since then, I've spoken to a couple of friends who have had the same disappointment with people search firms.
Thanks.
