Lost over $,000 in savings on promises from a man who claimed to be an engineer, and has an Associates degree. I say this to illustrate details that were not revealed that might have given an investor a more informed decision. ( I discovered this when they put together a public offering requesting more money and details of his resume were revealed.)
This is in line with saying EPA approval was coming, but not saying it was needed for every make and model vehicle that a kit was to be installed on. One Approval seems doable compared to getting it for all cars on the road. The other point is not knowing we would have to keep investing for EPA approval to continue, in order to sell a product that couldn't be sold legally otherwise.

Was given the impression that EPA approval was Close from the time I invested, and was basically given the same rhetoric for 3 years with no communication from Paul Spivak this year except today.

I received an email a week ago saying the Statute of Limitations, in taking action against Paul Spivak, Intelligent Ethanol Systems, and Intelligent Energy systems would happen this Wednesday 9/15/10. Apparently now he has time to address all the distributors.

This is a quote from a fellow distributor 9/13/10. "He would like all of us to come to his factory and learn how

to install the kits on our own vehicle. He would like to educate us on the

workings of the units and the installation."

Below is a quote from him today 9/13/10:`

I would be more than happy to do this, but each person must

bring a vehicle and together we will educate and install a unit.

I can ship units, but have absolutely no time to be talking

to a myriad of people about what color wire goes where on a 37 studebaker or a mazda 17.

We've been through this before, and the fact is until we get complete EPA approval this is a waste of time. It is also not likely that the majority of us will be driving across the country on his promises.

The bottom line is this their product is not legal to sell. As far as I know they stopped the EPA Process by Spring 2009. I am not working with few prospects in sight, and I lost over $ 30,000.
What would you do ?

I don't understand...

I think you were just ripped off by a bad investment scheme.

According to wiki..

Ethanol is widely used in Brazil and in the United States, and together both countries were responsible for 89 percent of the world's ethanol fuel production in 2009.[2] Most cars on the road today in the U.S. can run on blends of up to 10% ethanol,[3] and the use of 10% ethanol gasoline is mandated in some U.S. states and cities.

Now there are already a bunch of ethanol conversion kits on the market. They are not legal to sell or use in California, or on vehicles that have certain pollution control mandates. However depending on the state, you can use it on older vehicles. It is not any cheaper then regular gas, and it is a pain to make it yourself..but it does pollute less and keep money out of the terrorists hands.

I do not know what you can do unless you were guaranteed in any contract to get a refund or return on investment. Without that, it is just legally a bad investment. If this product is illegal to sell..then there is not much you can do other then try to petition the EPA. IF there is a way to legally sell this product, then you need to get this guy off his laurels and do what it takes to sell and market it. Seems he may be snoozing at the wheel. If he wants to sell these units he will have to be able to explain how to install them..and possibly demonstrate it to potential vendors. That is normal for a system like this.

Do not invest anymore, that is for sure. But it is not looking good for you. You could try to sue him but you will need to prove you were swindled and that laws were violated.
