Intelligent Investigations fraud, I filed for a background check and never even got one back and they charged me twice off my card and its only been 2 days. Carolina Beach, Internet

This company appears to have damaged and/or inconvenienced many people. My situation is not as clear-cut as those that have lost time and money to this operation, but as a result of the name of the website (IntelligentInvestigations.com) that I had abandoned in the early 2000's due to a lack of hits on the site, as a licensed California private investigator I opened an investigation with the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services on 02/08/05, case# IA 20051371, who oversees licensed security and investigative professionals in California, to ascertain who the new owners of the website were and whether they were operating legally (after relatives and friends informed me of complaints of possible fraud associated with the website - which I later observed).

After receiving notification in the form of a letter from the Bureau that they were unable to "find  an address or make contact with this company," I thought it prudent to change my business name since the parties that were operating this business's agent of process was last reported to be in Arizona.

Hopefully, this may help those who have experienced problems with this company. Additionally, the Arizona Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, or Consumer Affairs agency may be of assistance, if they are still operating out of Arizona.
