I unfortunately used Intellius twice in the same day, which not only resulted in two charges from them on my credit card, but also a week later two charges for some bogus services from two AP9 companies.

The credit charges that hit my card are:
11/09/07 24692169T00QGLREB AP9*24PROTECTPLUS-V; 800-211-9749 14.95

11/07/07 24692169P005TYW7Y AP9*PMIDENTITY.COM-V; 888-840-6301 14.95

11/04/07 24692169L00RMD3QE INTELIUS-INTELIUS.COM; 425-974-6100 12.90

11/04/07 24692169L00RMEL34 INTELIUS-INTELIUS.COM; 425-974-6100 19.90

So I e-mailed Intellius about this and the sent me the following reply:

"Hello! Thank you for contacting Intelius Customer Service. You have purchased your ID Watch Service through Privacy Matters. Intelius is the data provider for ID Watch. To cancel your billing for this service, please contact Privacy Matters directly at (888) 840-6301. Thank you."

I then called the first number above for AP9 24ProtectPlus and asked them to cancel this and the PM Identity Plus transaction and credit my account for the two 14.95 charges. They said they would and emailed me the following:

Hopefully they will stick to their word of reversing my credit card charge. If they do or don't within a couple of days I will post the results in this forum.

The real culprit in this scam is YAHOO.COM as their people.yahoo.com people search directs you to Intellius as the initial perpetrator of the scam. I wonder how much they are getting kicked back from Intellius.
