CEC International Acadamy Of Design And Technology IADT criminal justice prog. ia a joke. graduated 1 1/2 yrs ago and no job Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

At the age of 43 My son became unemployed for the first time in his life.

He had a high paying sales job that was eliminated . He felt he needed to be retrained in a different field and He went to the IADT Pit school and told them he was interested in doing crime scene technology or working in forensics. IADT Pittsburgh convinced him that enrolling there and upon completion he would be able to get a job as a crime scene tech.

Well as every so many others have reported he found that he could not get a job in law enforcement or forensics at all. He was only offerred security guard jobs that only required a HS diploma and paying minimum wage.

At that point he realized he was better off financially before attending IADT.

He was unemployed but had no school loans and now he has a school loan to pay ,no job and he will have ruined his credit due to lack of payment on the school loan and he has a family to raise. I am so worried about him because this has caused him to be very depressed. His children are only 5 and 7 years old and he is in worse financial and emotional shape than before he attended IADT of Pittsburgh.

We believe that this CEC school is guilty of misleading incoming students regarding ,among other things, post-graduation employment prospects and salaries,retention and graduation rates, the transferability of credits earned, the competitive nature of the admission process, the quality of the education offered at the school, the reputation of the school, the quality of career services assistance (lifetime placement) offered by the school.

There was a class action lawsuit filed by three students who attended one of these CEC schools and I believe that they won in Los Angeles, California sometime last spring. I read it on (((link redacted)))
