This company called my cell phone, the lady was nice and she said she was new to the company. We even talked about my daughter and life in the military. She said that I was entered into a sweepstakes from Visa. Said the sweepstake was for $25,000, a new car, or a trip for 4 to Australia. All I had to do was answer a few questions, I answered, then she said that I would be receiving a diamond watch (right) in the mail for taking the survey. Then she started talking about the magazines and that's when I was like "okayyy?" saying that all I would be paying was 4.99 a week for 33 months for 4 magazines. I was like okay that sounds reasonable. But when I asked about cancelling, she transferred me to her supervisor, who was equally nice and polite. She pretty much dogded the question of the cancellations and said that she'd give me an extra magazine for free 'cause she liked me so much. But really I don't need all those d**n magazines, I told her that after she told me it was going to be 63 something a month. 4.99 a week doesn't equal $63 a month. So I told her "no i won't pay that much" so she lowered it to 49. I still said no and that I didn't want the magazines, finally she gave me like a "family discount" and it was 39.31 a month, okay I said. She asked me more questions, gave her my card number. Asked again about cancelling, dodged it by answering me but not really answering me. (get it) Gave me a customer service number for another company then their company but I couldn't get the number to their company fast enough before she transferred me to an automated thing giving me a tracking number (for what I have no clue) then hung up.

I check my account and it's been charged after I specifically asked the lady if it would be charged today and she said "no it won't start until the subscriptions start" BS. Now I have to call the bank tomorrow for the number of the company since apparently the number on the BBB website is not for International Reading but some other company assc. with International Reading.

Stuff like this really makes me mad. Be careful!
