International Sweepstakes Reporter Fraudulent sweepstakes letter, lots of legal jargon, sounds VERY professional. Refers to me winning a large sum of money ($427,146.20) and will have it sent to me once I send them money for processing. Las Vegas Nevada

The top of the page says "Verified Information Service", International Sweepstakes Reporter. The letter states I am a verified cash winner and will win a sum of $427,146.20 if i send them $19.95 for processing and $2.00 for S+H, and another $2.00 if I want faster processing. There is no phone number or email address anywhere in the letter but it is the most professionally done fraud letter I have ever seen. It was even perforrated half way down so you could tear it off and mail it in, with a preaddressed return envelope. On the back of the letter was very faint rules and regs just like other sweepstakes letters.

The legal jargon sounded quite good but really just ran on and made little sense if you tried to figure out what it meant. The bottom half is a statement claim form to be mailed back in with your signature and correct mailing address...and your payment. You have 7 days to mail it in??? There was even a skill testing question for Canadians and a prize listing number. The whole thing is very deceiving. Don't fall for it. I am very ticked off and disappointed that people do things like this.

The reason I found out about this fraudulent sweepstakes company was because I did a search with the address of this company and ended up here at Rip-Off Report.com with another company of extremely similar name and same address! International Prize Network had the EXACT same address as International Sweepstakes Reporter!

Avoid this type of scam at all costs. I'm glad you are trusting your gut instincts. If you really won a prize, it would come with a registered letter and never ask for any processing costs. I have no idea about Canadian law though. Is there a way to scan the image and post it? Thanks for sharing your story. Hopefully others won't fall for it.
