International Towing And Recovery towing company damaged car during towing Queens Village New York

parked my car at a strip mall in Jackson heights NY, thinking that since the shops were closed i could legally park there. But my car was towed and when I called the company I was told that parking in the lot was allowed for customers only. I payed $216 to get my car towed back. When the towing truck came back with my car, there was a huge scratch on the front. It looks like the lift fell on it and it was dragged along. When the towing truck driver was questioned about the scratch he said he knows nothing about it. My brother told the truck driver that he will have to report this to the police to get an FIR so that my car insurance company can pay for it. While my brother was talking to the cops across the street and I was standing next to the car, the tow truck driver simply drove away with the car- in front of the cops and me and my brother. When my brother called this towing company over the phone- they told my brother that "he is drunk and has had too many drinks for the night and doesnt know what he is talking about". My brother gave the phone one of the 2 cops that was there and made that truck company person talk to the cop who said that "he is right there with him and he is not drunk and they should bring the car back since they are willing to pay for it". So we payed $216 for getting the car back and we had a big scratch on the car. When my brother called them up the next working day they again told him that he is drunk and on medications and refuse to listen to anything that he had to say and were very rude. They refuse to take the responsibility for the scratch and demeaned my brother. I took responsibility for my action and payed the towing money, now they should take responsibility and get my car fixed. The way this company treated us was very unprofessionally and demeaned us. I am unhappy that my car got towed and then had to pay and very hurt that they refuse to pay for the damage that they caused and treated us really badly.

I want an apology from the company for mistreating us. I want the company to be more responsible and pay for the damage that they caused on the car. I also want the company to refund us the $216 that we gave because it was not necessary as the shops were closed at the time we parked the car.
