Internet Logos Fraudulent charge on my ATM debit card Ripoff Georgia
*Consumer Comment: Looking for connection for stolen numbers
*Consumer Comment: Looking for connection for stolen numbers
My latest Bank of America checking account statement included a charge for $12.95 from Internet Logos, in Georgia. My wife and I never bought anything from them. I called the phone number for them listed on my checking account statement, and got a recording that the number had been changed. I called the new number, and got a recording that said THAT number had been changed to an unlisted number. I then contacted the Bank of America frauds division and reported the fraudulent charge. Of course, they had to terminate my wife's debit card and issue a new one.

Looking for connection for stolen numbers

I filed a report about this same charge on I believe the third of April, from Alexandria, Va. I have been watching this and looking at where my wife uses her card.
I have noticed all but one of these Internet Logos reports have been filed by women. I had mentioned the theft of the TJX database in my report. One of the few places where my wife shops, which would be frequented by mostly women, is a near-by Marshall's store.
I am still wondering about this connection. I'm starting to think about writing a letter to TJX asking them for more details about the theft, and pointing them to this site. I would be curious to see if there is a connection.
I am not saying this IS the source of numbers getting into someone's hands, but it is the only place I can think of my wife has shopped, that is national, and frequented by what appears to be mostly women so far, plus, it is the only place we know of it is highly probable her number was compromised.
