Internic Moving Services - Euro Transport International I paid Final invoice on door to door service then paid 283.50 port charges ripoff Montreal Quebec

Based on their original estimate I came into an agreement with Internic Moving Services, which also goes by Euro Transport International, to provide a "door to door" service to transport my belongings from St.Marys Ontario Canada to St.Ives UK.

They sent me a final invoice that stated all was included except any taxes or duties at the destination(UK). I paid it.

After the shipment arrived in the UK and cleared customs the company they contracted to handle the UK end of the shipment would not deliver my shipment until I paid an additional 283.50 for "port charges"

I contacted Internic/Euro Transport and was told this cost was my responsibility. I then escalated to the manager, Jaques, and his reply to all my questions was "I don't understand you"

I was then forced to pay the 283.50 to get my furniture.
